Startled, An Zhe quickly leaned forward and covered the book with his body, so that the intruder couldn’t see it. After doing so, An Zhe slowly lifted his head and crossed gazes with a pair of deep green eyes.
Lu Feng looked down at him with eyebrows raised before moving his gaze to where An Zhe was covering the book.
“What are you hiding?”
An Zhe thought about lying or running away, but quickly changed his mind. There was no way he could escape from the Colonel. Might as well confess, in hopes of a lighter punishment.
Having reached that conclusion, An Zhe sat up and handed the book over Lu Feng. Once the Colonel saw what it was his eyebrows rose even higher. An Zhe thought, if the brows rose any higher, they might just fall off of Lu Feng’s face.
