Chapter Text
Porsche internally rolls his eyes. This meeting has been going on forever. He quickly glances around the room. His eyes catch the clock. It is almost over. He feels like these meetings were sent to torture him. He knows that he has sinned in the past but what had he done to be punished like this. He thanks the heavens that Takhun had managed to get Vegas to be the head of the minor family again. It wasn’t that Porsche was bad at this but it wasn’t what he wanted out of life.
He thinks about how he will soon have more time to focus on his mother and brother. His mother was still very despondent. He sometimes thinks that he can see something in her eyes. Whenever it is just the two of them. Who knows what she had suffered through. The thought has him frowning. He feels the nervous energy in the room, everyone thinking he is unhappy with something said. He quickly schools his face when he hears a comment that “fixes” the problem. This is what Chay means by his face hides nothing.
Porsche shifts in his seat slightly, Chay was another issue. Before all of this had happened, Chay was a happy kid. Chay would always tell Porsche if something was wrong. They used to be so super close and all he had to do was look in Chay’s eye to know what was wrong. Now Chay has this blank look, he never comes out of his room. What breaks his heart the most is that Chay won’t play any music. Chay and music were a constant thing, Chay wrote lyrics and played the piano at school. Now Chay didn’t even listen to music on his headphones. Maybe he just wants to be aware of his surroundings.
Porsche wants to focus more on what is going on with his family but the meeting grabs his attention again. It drones on for a long time before Kinn enters, the meeting is over. Porsche fills Kinn on what it was about as they go back to the compound.
Once they arrive, the two head up to their bedroom. Porsche pulls Kinn for the kiss as soon as they reach the room. He loves this feeling, just him and Kinn being as close as possible. Obviously, they had a rocky start but now they were in a good place. He pulls away to look into Kinn’s eyes, they are so dark and deep looking at him with all the love in the world. He loves these moments.
Before anything else can happen, there is a knock on the door. Adjusting their clothes to look proper, Kinn clears his throat, “Come in.”
Chan enters the room with a small head nod. “Khun Porsche, I wanted to inform you about the bodyguard candidates for Khun Porchay.” Chan quickly hands the tablet with the list of candidates to him.
“Anyone you recommend Chan?” Kinn asks and Porsche shows him the different files. Porsche reads all the qualifications for each guard. They all seem fine but he is not sure how Chay will react. Chay has been extra down lately and Porsche is hoping this will make him feel safe. When Kinn first suggested giving Chay a personal bodyguard, Porsche had been skeptical. He would prefer to guard his brother himself but at the time it hadn’t been prudent. Now it just feels like Porsche is putting it off as long as possible. Was it so wrong to want to keep Chay in this bubble for a little longer? At least he was safe!
“Leave it with me for the night Chan, I will ask Chay when I head over there in a few minutes." Chan bows his head and leaves.
Kinn pulls him close and looks in his eyes, “I thought you want Chay to be safe?”
Porsche sighs, “I do but Chay has been so off lately. I just feel like he might want to see who will be with him for a long time.”
Kinn gives a kiss on the temple, “I am sure Chay will settle soon, He has been through a lot and just needs a little time.”
Porsche frowns and pulls away, “No! There is something else going on, I know it. I just need him to open up to me again. He used to tell me everything.”
Kinn grimaces, “I know how close you two were but from my experience, Nongs can change and not want to share anymore. My nong doesn’t even want to visit.”
Porsche shoots Kinn a glare, “That’s because you are jackass! Chay and I are different. It has always been us against the world.
Kinn softens, “but now you are the part of the world he is against. It’s different now,”
Porsche pushes Kinn away and heads to the door, “Chay is my whole world, I will fix this and we will all be good and happy.”
Porsche leaves the room and heads towards Chay’s room. We can get back to normal.
