Oh no
Oh no no
Fuck.
Hirano had ran into a bathroom stall to hide from Kagiura. He was clutching his heart which felt like it was beating out of his chest. His cheeks felt feverishly hot and his breathing was uneven. He had to steady himself against the stall so that his knees wouldn't give out under his own weight.
Hirano had been on his way to get a drink from the wending machine, when he stumbled into Kagiura in the hallway. The younger had immediately started beaming with joy upon seeing his beloved roommate, greeting Hirano with the biggest, most contagious smile one could ever have on their face.
Hirano felt as if he'd looked straight at the sun with a telescope, making him go blind. The light shinging inside from the large window had framed the brunette's face in the most perfect angles. His brown eyes were shinging due to the light, presenting a color similar to honey. The shadow that formed on the other side of his face and a bit under his jaw had made him look sculpted, like a piece of art. His hair tinted with a golden colour, reflecting the sun.
"And so then...Ah, Hirano-san? Were you listening?" Kagiura said, with his head tilted a bit to the side, a pout on his lips.
'So cute' Hirano thought to himself.
It took him a few moments to process what had just been said to him. He then also realized that Kagiura had been talking to him the whole time, and he hadn't heard a single word, having spent the whole time ogling the other.
And then, it had hit him.
It had hit him like a train crashing into a brick wall. Hard and unexpected.
Hirano's eyes had widened into saucers. His jaw slack, at a loss for words. There was nothing he could've said anymore. Nothing that he could've denied either.
'I am utterly, madly in love with Kagiura Akira',
had been the only thing that popped into his mind at that moment. And after that, there was no turning back.
"I-i have to go, see you!" and like that he'd ran towards the bathroom like somebody had been chasing him with a knife. His mind in a barrel, the only thing that had grounded him were his legs moving with all the velocity they could unchain.
He heard the one who'd stolen his heart and changed the trajectory of his life yell after him with utter confusion, but there had been no way that he could've faced him at that moment.
And here he was, in a bathroom stall feeling shocked as if someone had just shot him in the heart. If he didn't try to calm himself down soon, he would probably start suffering from heart palpations. He closed his eyes and tried to breathe in and out, with all the air he could get to stay in his lungs, as he was almost hyperventilating.
He knew that what he had felt for Kagiura prior to this was unlike what he had ever felt for anyone before in his life. He loved his parents, he was very sure of that. He thought of his friends as people very dear to him. Academics were also something that he held up in a high spot.
But whatever had just struck him was something completely foreign to him. It was so overwhelming that it almost made him feel scared. Scared of it being so strong that it had completely taken over his mind and body.
The feeling of wanting to be with Kagiura and enjoying shared time with him now replaced with something way stronger. And it was now clear to him. He could give this feeling a name, and the name was undoubtedly,
Love
And not the kind of love he felt for his friends and family. It was the kind of love that made him want to stay at his beloved's side at all times. The kind of love that made him forget how to breathe at the mere sight of the other. The kind of love that made his heart skip beats.
After collecting his thoughts and accepting his mind falling into a place where it couldn't escape anymore, he felt as if something heavy had been lifted off of his shoulders. He felt as if he could finally breathe.
He looked up at the ceiling and smiled to himself.
'Maybe everything will be just fine'

Well, everything had been fine until he had gotten back to his and Kagiura's shared dorm room. He had realized that he would have to face Kagiura right after realizing something so overwhelming.
He had decided to solve this issue by going to bed as early as possible, so that he wouldn't have to interact with Kagiura too much, because he wasn't sure his poor heart could've handled it.
And without getting too much into detail, you could say that Hirano didn't exactly get the best sleep of his life that night.

"Eaaarth to Hiranooo~"
Hirano was completely spaced out, staring outside through the window which he was seated next to. Unfortunately for the sake of his concentration, Kagiura's class happened to be having PE, which meant that he was running laps with the rest of his class on the field. The sight of this was suddenly way more interesting to Hirano than whatever the subject was in his maths class.
The voice of the ginger sitting in front of him, now turned around in his seat to face him, broke him out of his trance.
"Huh? What?" Hirano blurted, confused.
"You've been in your own world for the last hour, and now you were staring out the window like there was a magnet attached to your eyes and the glass. It's kinda creepy you know?"
"Oh shut up!" Hirano hissed, heat rising to cheeks.
"You know that Sasaki is right tho", Ogasawara mumbled, joining in the conversation.
Aaand Hirano wasn't listening once again, eyes glued back at the window. In a beat he had forgotten the two guys questioning him, as he noticed Kagiura from the corner of his eye.
'He looks so good when he's exercising' he thought to himself, resting his cheek against his knuckles.
"Oh, now I see. It's roommate-kun he's been ogling." Sasaki said with a little snarkiness to his tone.
"For god's sake I am not ogling him!" Hirano, now once again broken from his Kagiura-trance yelled, embarrasment visible on his face.
"So it was roommate-kun you were lost thinking about for the last hour", Sasaki confirmed, popping the lollipop out of his mouth.
"N-no I wasn't.. And he has a name!" Hirano snapped.
"Wow calm down guys, jeez. So it's Hirano's roommate were talking about? What's his name?" Ogasawara pried, pulling a chair to sit closer to the two.
"Kagiura.. he's in class 2A and he is on the basketball team" Hirano said, scratching the back of his neck, trying to look anywhere but at the two guys interrogating him.
"Ah I think I've seen him sometime, he's that freakishly tall dude with a babyface" Ogasawara connected the pieces.
"Right? Roommate-kun is a beanpole, he makes Hirano look like a dwarf", Sasaki continued.
"Huh, well what if he's tall?! Plus he doesn't have a babyface, he's just handsome. If only you knew what kinda muscles he has..." Hirano blurted without thinking.
...
There was pregnant pause. Sasaki eyed Ogasawara, who had an expression the ginger couldn't quite identify.
"D-did I say that outloud..?" Hirano asked, a mortified look on his face.
"Don't tell me... you too, Hirano??" Ogasawara said his face going pale.
Sasaki rolled his eyes at this before saying: "So you have the hots for roommate-kun, I see"
"No I don-..." Hirano couldn't finish his sentence before he had to hide his face in his hands. Why did he have to go and blurt out such embarrasing things!
"Uh huh", Sasaki smirked. "So you guys going out?"
"No... not yet atleast" Hirano looked towards the floor.
"Well you gotta do something about it soon because I'm sick of roommate-kun looking at me like he wants to hunt me down whenever i'm in a five meter radius from you" Sasaki rolled his eyes.
Ogasawara was no longer mentally in the room. He looked as if he had been hit with a bat. Sasaki guessed he was terrified over whatever Eimi might do with this newfound information, if it were to reach her ears.

"Hirano-san! I'm so glad to see you again!
And there he was, in all his glory, Kagi-kun.
"Oh hi Kagi-kun..." and Hirano was once again, lost in another dimension.
"Hirano-san, you've been acting weird since yesterday and today you were so quiet in the morning, is everything all right?" Kagiura asked with concern visible on his face.
'I love him so much' was all Hirano could think.
'Oh god what is wrong with me?!' was quickly the thought that followed. This caused him to go beet red.
"Hirano-san your face is all red, are you sick?" Kagiura worried, and without warning he stepped closer to Hirano, placing his forehead against Hirano's.
This was way too much for Hirano. He felt the world start spinning and suddenly he forgot how to breathe.
"N-no i-i'm fine Kagi-kun!" He stuttred, at this rate he would end up passing out right here, in the hallway.
"Your face feels a bit hot, maybe you should go to the nurse's office?" Kagiura said, taking a step back.
"Eh, I-i've actually got to go to class so seeyoulaterKagi-kun!" And like that, Kagiura was left stunned, standing in his spot. Hirano was once again darting in the hallway despite being a disciplinary committee member.
'Oh god what am I doing?' he thought as he kept running, not daring to look back. If he didn't do something about this soon, it would probably be the end of him.
