Drinking wasn't Hiranos favourite thing to do. Although he did hold his liquor pretty well, there were about a thousand things he would rather do. Those things including studying and spending time with his boyfriend, Kagiura Akira.
To Hirano, Kagiura was like the first gush of fresh spring air during the last days of winter. Being with him made everyday more exciting and new. After having finally recognized the bursting feeling in his chest whenever he was around the brunette, there was nothing he could do to stop it. It became almost intoxicating.
And Hirano could truly say that Kagiura was the best thing that had happened to him all his life.
God.
He loved that idiot to bits and pieces.
Not only was he his beloved boyfriend, he was Hirano's bestfriend. No one could quite make Hirano gleam with joy the same way as Kagiura did with his silly antics. No one else could calm Hirano down the same way as Kagiura did when he was stressed out of his mind.
And to Hirano, no one, truly no one was as crazy good looking as Kagiura Akira. Hirano could easily stare at Kagiura's large calloused hands, his handsome face, his sharp jawline, his strong arms or those rock hard abs of his all day long if granted.
Whereas Hirano could keep on dreaming about Kagi-kun for a whole day if he was allowed to, he had an issue at hand.
He was asked to join his college friends for drinks this evening to celebrate their second semester of college being over. It wasn't like Hirano was opposed to the idea of going, since he did find his friends to be pretty easy to be around. Except for when they started constantly flooding him with questions of who he was dating, after it got out that Hirano wasn't single.
The revelation wasn't intentional, since Hirano once accidentally slipped it during a conversation about what they were going to be doing the following weekend. Although it's not like keeping Kagiura a secret was really Hirano's plan in the first place. Afterall it's not like he had anything to hide. He did hold pride in having the best boyfriend he could ever ask for.
Despite his pridefulness of having someone like Kagiura, his intention wasn't exactly announcing their relationship either. The reason being the endless questions along the lines of "How old is she?", "Is she cute?", "Does she go to our school?" and so on.
He would usually just shrug off these questions, since he didn't feel like he owned anyone an answer to them. Maybe he didn't want to share Kagiura with others? Was that so bad?

Next thing Hirano knew was him making his way to the bar of which's location one of his friends, Kento, had shared. Once he arrived at the bar, he checked his phone one more time to make sure he had gotten the location right. After doing that he took a deep breath and stepped inside.
There was a little bell that chimed at the top of the heavy wooden door of the enterance, to announce his arrival. It didn't take long for Kento to wave his arm high up in the air as an indication for Hirano to come join them.
"Yooo Hiranoo, I'm glad you showed up afterall" said the overly excited young man. There was something about Kento's tendency to get thrilled over things that reminded Hirano of a certain someone. Not that Kento doing that would be nearly as intriguing as when the other man did, anyway.
"Is it something that rare?" Hirano asked while rolling his eyes a little. "Well for someone so reserved like you, it shouldn't be taken for granted", said a girl with round glasses and long brown hair, called Ayaka. "Huh?! What is that supposed to mean?" Hirano spat, now a little irritated.
"Now now, let's all calm down and remember why we came here", Kento intervened. After everyone had ordered their first drinks and they arrived at the table where all five of them were seated at, Kento broke the silence again: "Let's all raise a glass for making it through the second semester of merciless studying!" After that followed sounds of glasses clinking against each other and multiple "Cheers!".
Hirano took a sip of his drink. It was better than what he had imagined it to be. He chose a pretty light drink to start off with. And he didn't honestly plan on getting drunk or going home too late tonight. Afterall Kagi-kun was returning from an away game. Oh how badly he wanted to see him.
Out of habit Hirano started twiddling the ring on his index finger, which seemed to have awakened the interest of Risa, a girl with bangs and a large bun on the top of her head, who was seated opposite of Hirano.
"See! THAT is the face that he makes whenever he goes quiet and starts fiddling with his ring like a hopeless romantic", Risa pointed out eagerly to Ayaka. "Kyaaah! What was that just now, Hirano?! You were thinking about her, weren't you?" Ayaka took the opportunity to tease Hirano.
All Hirano did was make a small "tsk" sound with his tongue and look away, heat rising to his cheeks. "Omg omg, so you WERE thinking about her!" Risa squealed. "Dude, you are so down bad for her, isn't it time you introduced us to her?" the guy sitting on the other side of the same bench as Hirano, Isamu, continued.
"No", Hirano answered coldly. He just really didn't feel like sharing him. "And it's not a her", Hirano clicked his tongue, before taking another sip of his drink. After he sat his now empty glass on the table, everyone got quiet. "What?" Hirano asked.
"Wait wait wait, what do you mean it's not a her?" Isamu looked at Hirano with wide eyes. "You heard me loud and clear", Hirano pointed. "Is there something wrong with that?" he questioned further. "Oh no of course not, sorry. I guess I was just a bit suprised", Isamu apologized.
While Kento seemed to be connecting the dots in his head, the two girls sitting opposite of them were basically short circuiting. A huge smile then rose on Risa's face. She started shaking Ayaka and saying all kinds of things such as "My dreams have come true!" Which caused Hirano's blood to run cold because it was too close to something a fudanshi well known to him would say.
After this followed a long evening of endless questions about the mystery guy who had stolen the blond man's heart. And the alcohol seemed to be the only way for Hirano to get through all these questions. Having long gone forgotten his intention to not get drunk.

Hirano could feel his tongue getting looser after every shot and sip of his drinks. "Is he hot?" Ayaka asked with her cheeks a bit red from the alcohol now running in her blood. "Way too hot *hic*", Hirano confessed while gazing at the ceiling. "Show us a picture please please Hiranooo~" Risa plead. "Nooo wayy, you can't have him", Hirano mumbled, moving his hand from the table to rest under his chin. "No fair!" Risa half-yelled.
The questions regarding Kagiura didn't seem to ever stop. And Hirano had now lost all filter to his mouth. "*Hic* Heheeh~ Kagi-kun has the hottest muscles ever", Hirano was now basically drooling. "Kagi-kun? Wow, I never imagined this guy would give such cute names to someone", Kento commented.
While the other people in their group had had their fair share of drinks, Hirano was definetly the one most out of it. His speech was getting incredibly slurred and sending him home by himself was out of question.
"This guy should probably go home", Isamu showed his concern for the now completely wasted blond man. "I can call him a taxi", Kento offered. "Hirano? Hey man, what is your addre-" "NO! Wait a second. What if we call "Kagi-kun" to come get him?" Risa smirked. "Yes yes absolutely!" Ayaka yelled with excitement. "This way we can finally see what the guy that is able to make Hirano say all these things looks like!" Ayaka kept going.
"Ookay well why not? Hirano where is your phone?" Kento asked him. "Huh? In *hic* my pocketh.." Hirano managed to make out. Kento reached into the blond's pocket and grabbed his phone. "One more, what is you password?" Kento followed. "Uhh, one thwo *hic* twoh five" Hirano said before flopping on the table.
"Allright", Kento said and typed in the passcode. He went into Hirano's contacts and the first one to pop up was "Kagi-kun". Without further notice he pressed call. And it didn't take more than two rings for a soft male voice laced with concern to answer.
"Taiga-san is everything all right? It's pretty late where are you?" the voice said with worry. "Aah well about that i'm not "Taiga-san" but i'm calling since this guy is nearly black out drunk at the moment. Could you come get him?" Kento asked the man on the phone awkwardly. And he could already hear sounds of keys being picked up and quick walking from the other side of the phone.
"Tell me where the bar is that you guys are at?" Kagiura demanded now with most of the softness in his voice replaced with hurry. After Kento dropped the address Kagiura was already on the way.
"Soooo is he coming here?" Risa begged to know with sparkles in her eyes. "Yeah, the guy didn't almost let me finish the call before he was already out the door", Kento laughed a bit embarrased. "Aah this is too much for me. Hirano has a posessive lover this just keeps on getting better. I can not wait to see what he looks like!" Ayaka squaled.
"Do you guys think he's gonna be a hottie? Risa looked around the table. "I mean that's all this guy has been saying for the last two hours so I'm guessing he has to be". Isamu sighed while looking at Hirano still with his face down on the table.
Next thing they knew the bell chimed, indicating that someone had arrived at the bar. All of their eyes went wide at the same time. "Am I seeing things or is that Kagiura Akira", Ayaka said. "No no you are not, it is", Kento said awestruck. "Am I too drunk or is Kagiura Akira walking towards our table", Risa stared. "No he totally is", Isamu whispered.
"Hirano-san?" The incredibly tall handsome athlete said now at their table. Hirano immediately regognized the voice and his head quickly went up from the table. He stared at the tall man for a couple seconds blinking slowly. Then his lips formed into a cheesy smile and he uttered "Kaaagi-kuun? *hic* Why is Kagi-kun here..?" Everyone at the table was still processing what was going on, as they couldn't believe that the man who made Hirano say all kinds of things you could never imagine leaving his mouth was none other than the mega popular to-be NBA player Kagiura Akira.
"Wow, he is even more handsome in real life. No wonder Hirano was saying this and that", Ayaka whispered to Risa, to which she answered: "How was he keeping this kind of information from us. I feel betrayed", Risa said while dramatically putting her arm against her forehead.
"I came here to get you, Taiga-san, you are looking like a mess", the basketball player said. "Heh ehe, the shots we gave him might've been pretty strong, sorry", Kento rubbed the back of his neck while Isamu looked around whistling. To this Kagiura gave them a deep glare, the worrisom face which he had just showed Hirano now long gone. "God why is this guy so terrifying despite having kind of a baby face. And there is no reason to be so friggin' tall!" Kento thought to himself while gulping.
"Akkii~ sit down I whanna kiss youu.." Hirano said with his speech slurred. Kagiura's cheeks reddened at this as he said: "N-now Taiga-san we should go home, come on, i'll help you up"
Everyone at the table had the same reaction of secondhand embarrasment for Hirano, but also shock from their friend dating such a celebrity.
As Kagiura was trying to pull Hirano up from his seat, instead of standing up Hirano wrapped his arms around Kagiura's neck and nuzzled his face into the crook of it. "I looove youu~ Akki", he said while giggling. "Yes yes me too, now please let go of me so I can take you to the car, Taiga-san", Kagiura said sounding a bit tired. "Carry meeee pleashe", Hirano said not wanting to let go of the brunette's broad shoulders.
"Taiga-san....*sigh* I guess there is nothing I can do.." Kagiura breathed and in a swift movement he hooked his arm under Hirano's legs and his other arm behind his back, lifting him into a bridal carry. Hirano, pleased by this, hugged Kagiura tighter. "Well, I think we have to get going, bye then", the tall man said as he grabbed Hirano's stuff from the bench and walked away with the blond man in his arms.
"What just happened?" Isamu asked. "I have no idea dude", Kento answered. The girls sitting opposite of them looked like they had gotten a spell cast over them. None of them were quite expecting the basketball star to be Hirano's target of affection.

Hirano was now fast asleep in the car on their way back home. Kagiura tapped his finger on the steering wheel while occasionally giving a quick glance to Hirano to make sure he was allright.
When they finally made it home Kagiura had to carry Hirano back inside the house and change him into pyjamas. "God Taiga-san, you are impossible", Kagiura sighed softly as he slipped under the sheets of their shared bed. Hirano shifted in his slumber and laid his head against the younger ones chest. Kagiura kissed his blond hair softly, before joining him in dreamland.

When Hirano woke up the following morning he had the worst headache of his life. It felt like someone was digging a hole from the back of his skull to his forehead. He quite frankly had no memory of the previous night either. He had gone drinking and suddenly he was sleeping in his bed. He looked at Kagiura's side of the bed which was empty. Hirano guessed he must've gone to the gym already.
He slowly made his way to the kitchen to find a bowl of rice and an omelette on the table with a small note saying "Please eat these Taiga-san, so you can get over your hangover better :)" Hirano's lips formed into a soft smile. He could never get enough of this guy. As he sat down to eat his breakfast, he heard his phone chime which was set on the other side of the kitchen table. He reached his arm out to grab his phone to see if it was Kagi-kun.
To his dissapointment it was not. It was his and his college buddie's groupchat that was flooding with messages.
He made the grave mistake of accidentally opening the groupchat, which caused a dozen messages to get sent. One message that caught his eye was from Ayaka. It read:
"Hirano. I see that you have woken up. There is no running away from this."
To this Hirano answered: "What do you mean?"
"Don't think we didn't see you all over Kagiura Akira last night. You have a lot of explaining to do", Risa took the chance to pry.
"Oh shit. What have I done" Hirano said outloud. He pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath. This was going to be a long morning.
