Aemond Shots Of Life

Summary:

Disclaimers: I don't own the fandom or characters, just the writing and the plot.

Just some short snippets of life that centre around Aemond Targaryen. That's it, no plot, just shower thoughts. This is meant to be used as an inspiration book to use for your own writing as well as for me to write whatever comes to my mind, so the chapters are quite short and definitely won't by updated very frequently. This book is part of a series, so if you like this idea, but not the characters, feel free to check out my other "...Shots Of Life" books that are based on other fandoms.

Notes:

Chapter 1: Aemond's perspective of how the loss of his eye was downplayed.

Chapter 2: Aemond's perspective on his relationship with Vhagar.

Chapter 3: A philosophical version of Aemond's perspective during the family dinner between the Greens and Blacks.

Chapter 4: Aemond reflecting on the ways he resembles each of his parents.

Chapter 5: Adding to the Viserys hate train from Aemond's perspective.

Chapter 6: Aemond's perspective on his relationship with Alicent.

Chapter 7: Just some Aemond angst to set the world straight.

Chapter 8: Aemond's perspective of not letting go of his trauma.

Chapter 9: Aemond's perspective of his lack of relationships and how he grew darker with age.

Chapter Text

!!! IMPORTANT !!! The author's note for this chapter is very important, please read through the whole thing, it will explain how this book works so that everything makes sense, thank you.

*A/N* Hello, welcome to my new book, it's just some random snippets and thoughts regarding Aemond Targaryen. I'll put the prompt at the beginning of each chapter along with a brief summary of what's happening if it's an AU or something and I will also list the trigger warnings for the chapter. This might not be updated very frequently and the chapters will probably be short, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. As with all of my books, I am not making any money off of this, I own nothing but the writing. Please feel free to translate this book or post it on other sites, I would just appreciate the credit. ESPECIALLY take inspiration from it, continue scenes or add in extra ones, that's the entire purpose of this book. Along with that, for this particular book, please feel free to put any suggestions, ideas, or prompts of your own in the comments or on my message board and I will try my best to add them in here. Now, please enjoy!

Trigger warnings: Brief and mild medical stuff with the aftermath of losing an eye.

Prompt: You talk of the pain like it's all alright.

Summary: Aemond's perspective of how the loss of his eye was downplayed.

"When I lost my eye." It was a phrase that had been drilled into my skull time and time again, that I had been coached on relentlessly in those first few months.

"Lost," like it had been an accident, like I had simply dropped it carelessly. It removed the knife and the blood from the equation, silencing all the nights that I had awoken screaming in agony and the hours that I spent curled up and clutching desperately at my maimed face in a futile effort to make the pain go away. It erased the sickening memory of the useless remains being scraped from the inside of my head, the gaping wound being sewn shut with a needle that felt like dragonfire to the torn skin, dismissing the image burned into my brain of my mother crying when she thought I had fallen asleep.

"When I lost my eye," as though I had had it coming, as though it had all been my fault and I was to blame, like I had attacked them first and was the cause of my own suffering. Over all the years, I had come to accept that it was forgettable pain, I held my tongue and let myself be the liar.

*A/N* I hope you enjoyed this, the prompt for this bit is from "Matilda" by Harry Styles. It's something I've never heard anyone talk about with Aemond and I thought it was interesting.
