Work Text:
As she and Susato walk through the streets of a posh part of London that makes Gina feel very much out of place, Susato stops by a shop window and lets out a little gasp.
“Oh my goodness, look at that ring,” she says wistfully, her gaze focused on a silver ring with a red gemstone set into it. Gina doesn’t know much about jewellery, but considering the ridiculous price tag placed in front of the ring, that must be actual silver with a ruby in it to justify the price.
She glances at her girlfriend, in love with the smile on Susato’s face. It’s obvious how much Susato would love to own that ring, but there is no chance in hell of either of them affording to buy it in a hundred years. And even though she hasn’t stolen anything in years, she starts to wonder if perhaps she should…
“Please don’t steal it for me, Gina,” Susato says, and Gina jumps.
A laugh bursting out of her, Gina splutters, “Bloody ‘ell, Sooze, did ya just read my mind?”
Giggling, Susato says, “I have no idea what you mean.”
But Gina must wonder if Susato really can read minds.
