A plea inside your heart ( Drake x Kendrick )

Summary:

Kendrick x Drake story I wrote for school because I thought it was funny.

Work Text:

It all started when he met him…... it was just the usual weekday for Drake. He was woken up by the alarm next to his bed on the side table. He felt a sigh release from his lips as he got out of his bed. A knock was heard from his door, and Drake responded to the guest with his usual ‘yes?’ and his butler came in. Most people would say that Drake was wealthy, loaded even. Everything he ever wanted as a kid was given to him with no hesitation. He always had a team of butlers and maids on standby, ready to give him his every desire, but it was never enough. Drake was lonely; no one ever dared to speak to him unless he asked a servant to do something, and his parents were never around. They always said they would rather be at some club in L.A then be with him, so that's what always happened. When he started school, he was avoided for being the weird rich kid. Drake never had a single friend, and at this point, he never wanted one. If the world only saw him as the rich, spoiled brat, he wouldn't let them down trying to prove he wasn’t.

Franswa, his main butler, entered the room wearing her usual suit and black and white striped tie. “I am here to inform you that your parents are in Brazil for an event and are not going to make it tonight.” Of course, they won't, they never want to come home, Drake thought to himself, clenching his teeth in frustration. “ That’s fine.” Drake responded, “ I bet they are very busy, I wouldn’t want to disturb them anyway.”

Drake never showed how much it annoyed him, there was no point. He was used to it anyway. Always alone in the big estate his parents owned, with no one to really listen to him or encourage him. Even if he talked to his butlers they would just scold him, saying how busy his parents are or money doesn't get earned by being lazy at home, so he just put his calm and unbothered facade on and never showed his true self to anyone.

He got ready for school like he always did. He entered the bathroom to wash up, brushing his teeth and washing his face. When he left the bathroom, his school uniform lay on his bed by Franswa. He put his uniform on, feeling the cold unworn cloth cover his body. He walks toward the door, about to open it, until Franswa stops him. She grabs him on the arm, “ You didn’t put your tie on right.” She complained about undoing his tie around his neck. “You can’t do anything by yourself, can you?” She mumbles as she tightens the tie around his neck, barely leaving any space between his neck and the tie. It felt like his throat was being closed.

When she sees the tie fit to her standards, she lets him go. He hurries out of his room, grabbing his backpack and walking down the stairs with Franswa following behind.” For breakfast, I prepared a caviar and egg bak-.” She gets cut off before she ever gets to finish. “ I'm not hungry, I'm just going to go to school,” Drake says, closing the door behind him as he walks to the gates in front of the estate. The truth was he was hungry, but staying in that house full of those robotic people made him sick. Drake took his tie off and released the first button from its hold in the hole in his shirt

Drake starts his way to school, letting the frown show on his face, kicking the rocks along the sidewalk. When he finally saw his school in the distance, he sighed. This place was terrible, a place where everyone he gets tormented by in one place. The kids in his school never understood him. Getting bullied every day was nothing to him, though; it was nothing he was not already used to by now. Getting slammed into lockers or getting his head slammed in by a fist was nothing new. He never fought back; there was no point, it's not like he was even strong enough to beat them back, so he just let it happen.

He enters the halls, finding his class lucky for him, the teacher was already in the room, and he's safe for now. Drake takes his seat and puts his head down until the bell rings. You can hear his teacher move his chair in a motion of standing up and clearing his throat. “ Today class, we have a new student. This is Kendrick, and he will be in this class for the rest of the year.” Drake lifts his head from the desk, looking at the new student, his skin shining in the sunlight from the window. All of the girls in the class look at him in awe, shocked looking at his amazing features.

“ Kendrick, you can sit next to Drake over there.” Drake gasps, feeling the heat rise to his face. Oh great, now everyone's going to be looking at me, He thinks to himself. Kendrick sits at his new desk getting his stuff for class and returns to normal.

When the bell rings, Drake runs straight out of the classroom, not for long before he's stopped by his fellow peers. A thud could be heard as he got slammed in the locker. He tries to walk away, but he hears that awful voice. “ Well, look who it is.” Braxton, Drake's number one bully, begins. Drake slowly backs away from where he was going, trying to gain distance from him and Braxton. “ I thought you learned from last time that running away is a bad Idea.” Drake's back touches the lockers, there is nowhere else to go. “ I bet he's just waiting for one of his butlers to save him,” One of Braxton's lackeys chimes in on the conversation. Drake clenched his hands, trying to stop them from trembling, but it was no use.

Braxton gets closer and closer, his hand pinned next to him on the locker. Drake thought he was done for but-

BAM!

The echo fills the room as Braxton lies on the floor, knocked out. Drake lifts his head in shock to find Kendrick quickly fighting them off. In an instant, they are all lying there unable to move. Drake steps away from the locker before Kendrick speaks up, “ Yo, are you alright?” He tries to ignore him, still walking off, then stops, saying something inaudible. “ What?” Kendrick asked, confused. “You didn't have to save me, you know,” Drake says, looking at the floor, avoiding eye contact with Kendrick. He was already embarrassed, wanting to throw himself into a ditch and never come back out, but that wasn't very possible with butlers who would find him. “ So you just wanted me to watch you get pummeled and do nothing. That wrecks my virtue as a person, and I could never do that.” Kendrick says proudly. “ You have a virtue?” Drake asks, amused at how lame that makes him sound. “ Maybe you need one rich boy.”

“ Don’t call me that!” Drake snaps, grimacing. He hated that nickname, it reminded him of how alone he was, only because they thought he was a rich brat, even though they never talked to him to prove that it was true or not. Like they always say, money can’t buy friends or happiness. They were right, no one in their right mind would ever want to hang out with him. Not even if he paid them, too. It wasn't worth it to them.

Drake walks out, there was nothing else to say.
“ Hey, I’m sorry.” Kendrick apologizes, “ Do you want to hang out?”

Drake looks at Kendrick skeptically, he must be joking. “ Yeah, real funny.” Drake leaves through the front door of the school. God, it just had to rain. Drake thinks to himself. He takes out his umbrella, taking his leave. Almost halfway to his house, he hears someone running to him. He looks back, seeing Kendrick with no umbrella, soaking wet. “ Drake, wait.” He gasps for air. “ Thank god i finally found you, the thing is….. I wasn't lying, I don't think you're lame. I don't think you're just a spoiled rich kid. I want to be friends, I’m serious.” Drake's eyes widened. He ran all this way… for him? “ You're soaking wet….. Just come to my place and I'll get you a change of clothes.” Drake said, defeated, if he did all of this just to hang out, maybe he wasn't lying.

They both get to the gates to his house, and Kendrick gasps. “ Do you live here?” Drake side eyes him, “Is that a problem?” Drake asks defensively. “No, my bad.” They enter the home, all the butlers welcome him. Drake just ignores them, walking up the stairs, Kendrick following him. “ So where are your parents, still working?” Drake scoffs, “ I haven’t seen them in weeks. They are busy on a trip." Kendrick stops in his tracks. “ Weeks! Drake, that's not normal, you know? That’s getting into neglected territory. They should at least come home more often.”

He looks at Kendrick, then looks at the floor. “ It’s not like they are just busy. I wouldn't call it neglect, they just don't have time for me.” Drake finally looks up to Kendrick, his face full of concern. Like if he wanted to say something but just kept it in. “ What?” Drake asks, “Just say it.” Kendrick sighs, “ Are you ok with it?” Drake looks at him confused. “ What do you mean? Am I ok with what?” Kendrick face palms. “ I mean, are you just ok with going so long without seeing them, it’s like they don't even care for you!”

“ Who cares if they care about me or not? It’s not your concern, so let's get you clothes so you can leave me alone!” Drake snaps.

-

They reach the bedroom, where they are met by Franswa. “ Franswa, please find him some clothes and lead him out. I'll be in the library.” Drake says Leaving the room a “ Yes sir.” can be heard as the door shuts. “ Drake, wait!” Kendrick calls, but there's no use. Drake is long gone.

It’s been a few days since Drake came to school Kendrick grew worried. Is he not here because of me? Kendrick thinks to himself as the classroom opens, revealing Drake, he has come! He sits in his seat, sighing

After class, Kendrick catches up to Drake, grabbing him by the hand. “ Drake, look, I’m sorry I shouldn't have asked, please forgive me, I want to be friends with you.” Drake looks up at him, frowning,” Why would you want to befriend someone like me? That's absurd.” Kendrick smiles, holding both of Drake's hands. “ Because I think you're cool.” Drake smiled, “ You really think so?” Kendrick smiles too. “ I do.”

And this started a friendship that Drake will never forget because for the first time….. He had a friend.
