   Summary

   Against all expectations, Mike doesn’t actually have to worry about much in Hawkins.

   Sure, his parents are fighting all the time, all of his friends seem to have forgotten about him, and he can’t listen to Tainted Love without crying, but all those things were happening in Arkansas as well. Hawkins isn’t to blame.

   No one at school really seems to be paying attention to him. He’s been roaming the hallways, dressed in all black, with his chains and headphones permanently attached to him — and there are no heads turning, no whispers, no “hey faggot”s thrown at him.

   It’s not that people ignore him, but he doesn’t seem to draw their attention either, and honestly Mike counts that as a blessing, which he also won’t question.
