Joel heads to the nether for resource collection and stays there for so long that heat exhaustion/heat stroke begins to set in, and he ends up dying to a lava lake. His friends help him through the respawn recovery/sickness related to lava (because it sucks) as well as his lingering anxieties around lava + fire
