Hollyberry cookie stood there. The sun dimly lit the whole garden; pillars casting shadows that contrasted with the soft light which poured across the pavilion. The atmosphere of the garden was so…welcoming and oddly comforting.
It was odd, but the sound of rushing water behind the cookie that once owned her soul jam drew her attention elsewhere. Everyone else had beaten their beast, Dark cacao, Golden Cheese, and even Pure Vanilla.
It was just her left (minus White Lily, of course). The pale stone of the fountain made the cookie sitting atop it look so beautiful…
Wait–what ..? Did she seriously call the beast beautiful??
Blinking out of her dazed thoughts, the cookie sitting on the edge of the fountain chuckled. Their hand plucked the lyre sitting in their lap’s strings. A soothing melody played.
HollyBerry felt she could melt from the sound alone.
A soft laugh came out of Eternal Sugar cookie. Her wings spread out from her hips and head, framing her figure lovely. With a flick and a fast motion she pushed herself towards HollyBerry; Lyre left placed down on the fountain’s pale white stones.
HollyBerry felt Eternal sugar’s hand take place on her face. Eternal sugar smiled softly as the wings on her head flapped slowly in HollyBerry’s ears. The beast hovered above the ground a head higher than the ancient, forcing HollyBerry to look her in the eyes.
HollyBerry was resisting to just straight up melt from the beast's touch, but she couldn’t look weak. Something had happened in her kingdom and she had to fix this out. Not be seduced by a cookie that could destroy everything she’d worked for.
Eternal sugar eyes stared deep into hers; almost as if looking for something? But what for?
“I can tell something is up with you, my dearest cookie.” She said, her voice calm and consoling.
Fuck, HollyBerry could listen to her all day if she wanted— ….wait, was she falling in love with this beast?
Shaking her head she pushed Eternal sugar’s hands off her face: “back off!” She snapped, narrowing her eyes at the beast. Is this a sick joke?? Am I being toyed with here?? HollyBerry thought as she grabbed her shield and drew it in front of her.
She could feel her soul jam ache but not in a bad way. In a way …. She couldn’t explain it, even if her kingdom was on death row and she had to explain, she couldn’t.
Lost in thought, she didn't realise that Eternal sugar had flown behind her. It only had hit her when HollyBerry felt the beast turn her around and make her stare into her gaze.
“Hm,” the beast said, “you haven’t spoken once, HollyBerry cookie. Why’s that?” Questioned Eternal sugar. Her hip wings brushed HollyBerry’s dress.
Hollyberry couldn’t get words out for a second. This beast had wrapped around her heart without her realizing it.
And witches above, if Eternal sugar pushed her face any closer they probably could kiss right here and now.
Thoughts of Eternal Sugar cookie echoed in her dough for a moment. But she quickly regained her stance. She probably looked like some cat high on catnip for fuck sake.
Before HollyBerry was about to speak, Eternal sugar cookie pushed her away and turned her back around, her hands moving back up to her face. HollyBerry could hear the beast’s feet touch the cold white stone as she landed back on the ground lazily.
“Someone is calling for you.” She said, “come back here tomorrow night, I’ll have a surprise for you~” and then the beast pushed herself off the ground once more and flew off into the clouds, leaving HollyBerry alone to process for a few moments before waking up in her bedroom.
“Ughhh…” groaned the ancient, sitting up in her bed, head tilted towards the window to her right; the moon was still down so it’s probably about 5–6am-ish.
Turning her head back, she rested her hand on her face, could be actually in love with this beast? She couldn’t be, that would be insane! Eternal Sugar had already affected her kingdom enough but she—
Suddenly, a knock at the bedroom door.
“HollyBerry?”
It was Wild Berry Cookie’s voice. HollyBerry sighed as she got up from her bed and opened the door.
“Ah, my apologies for waking you up so early but reminder of the—“
“I’m aware, WildBerry. Get some cookies before we set off to Beast Yeast. We’ll go tomorrow.”
“Understood, again, I apologise for waking you up so early.”
“It’s fine.” She said as she watched WildBerry nod and walk off.
Closing her door she turned around to face her wall. could I actually be in love? With a beast out of all cookies! What on actual earth bread…
