Water was said to hold memory, life itself, everything to be whole even within yourself, for Caspian it was even more precious,
She breathed in the scent of fish and familiarity, the sand burrowing under her feet. Caspian walked into the water with cold claws closing around her waist. The water smooth and unripling, she scanned the surface of the water no shines of iridescent light, no pink.
She let out a sigh. “Sedna!” “Sedna!’ “Sedna!” nothing the water remained motionless and still, she sighed again what had she been expecting she’d been gone so long Sedna probably had given up looking for her by now. Something Cold yet malleable clutched her ankles,
Caspian yelled kicking down violently,water began seeping closer and closer to her head. Water closed around her neck as she desperately stretched her neck to the surface. Water closing around her head, as her final breath was taken away. Her vision obscured by the murky water, she looked down at where her attacker should be……nothing.
A force rammed forward, sharp pain extruded from the impact. The blurred shape moved backwards from her, Caspian’s vision refocusing she saw flowing white hair that when the light hit it glistened and radiated mini rainbows of color. A beaming Sedna her head frills fully up like an excited puppy,
Caspian relaxes her shoulders making a face in mock annoyance.
Caspian grabbing Sednas hand swam up to the surface, she gasped air filling her lungs sputtering she coughed. “Ugh why did you do that?” she said laughing. “cause it's funny you should have seen the look on your face.” Sedna said snickering. Sedna moving closer to Caspian grabbed her hands “You took foreverrrrr to come back.”
Caspian extended her hand out lightly caressing Sednas cheek “I wasn't gone that long.” “Yes you were.” Sedna said, turning her head further into Caspins palm, making an annoyingly cute frown.
The sun shining on Sedna created a rainbow aurora around her hair, Caspian smiling said “Did I ever tell you how pretty you are?” Sedna blushing,lightly batted Caspian’s nose “Oh shut up you big sap!” “What can I say? I'm just that good at romance.” Sedna snorted, shaking her head, giving Caspian a knowing look of no.
“I'm so glad you're back.” “yeah me too.” Caspian said, leaning her head onto Sednas shoulder.
