   Izuku is in the kitchen. It’s late.

   Kacchan is late. Again.

   It wasn’t supposed to be like this. They’d made a promise to each other, years ago. Studying wouldn’t get in the way. Work wouldn’t get in the way. Being a pro-hero wouldn’t get in the way.

   Life wouldn’t get in the way.

   But Kacchan is late again, and life was getting in the way.
