“I was promised a prince.”
Leona snorted. He leaned against the wall of the swaying carriage. His eyes flicked to the woman sitting across from him. “I was promised a princess. A fae one.”
Yuu huffed. She brushed her veil from her face. The rounded tips of her ears turned pink. “I was adopted into the Draconia family.”
“ Clearly .”
“This marriage is to bring peace between our countries.” Yuu folded her hands on her lap. “I’ll agree to be civil if you do the same.”
“Do I have a choice?”
They sat in silence for the rest of the day.
