Cody swallowed again. Forced his lips and tongue to form the words. Prayed to gods he didn’t believe in that his voice was steady. “It’s been an honor to serve with you, Obi-Wan." He heard his General take a sharp breath and felt the rumble of words pouring through the comm, but he couldn’t hold onto them long enough to understand. That was okay. He’d protected his jetii, and he’d said what he needed to say. Obi-Wan would forgive him. When the cold closed in, Cody was smiling.

words are and never will be enough, this thing is honestly so heartwarming and undeniably real. i dont think love like theirs could exist here and gods damn me and i will die on this hill, but this relationship is more beautiful than anything i have ever read or seen. i have read fair amount of fics with codywan force bonds but nothing can top this and i am so fucking grateful to have read this
