Pink & Green | A Sensei, Momoi, and Midori fanfic

Summary:

After a long day of helping Noa and Yuuka prepare with the upcoming Millennium Science Fair, it is expected of Sensei to finally rest, however Millennium's resident gamer duo had other plans for him.

NOTE: This series’ Sensei, and the other related fanfiction, is 18 years old.

Work Text:

“This is weird.” Returning to Millennium, Yuuka noticed how Noa hasn’t responded to her texts yet as she and Sensei were already finished with buying the needed supplies.

Before she could look at Sensei to say her goodbye, running footsteps could be heard from behind. “Sensei!”

“Huh?-” BAM! Sensei looked behind but was attacked by a certain student wearing a pink jacket and a headset that looked a lot like cat ears.

“Momoi, what are you doing here?” Yuuka asked as she checked if Sensei got hurt. “Isn’t it too late for you to be awake?”

Momoi gasped as she saw the treasurer. “W- Well, it’s none of your concern obviously.”

Yuuka’s eyes narrowed as Sensei removed Momoi’s embrace to ask questions. “Do you need something from me?”

“Of course!” The member of the Game Development Department smiled. “I wouldn’t look for Sensei if it wasn’t important!”

“What is so important that you should disturb Sensei late into this night?” Yuuka intervened, her hands on her hips.

Momoi smirked. “Sorry for interrupting your date, Yuuka.”

The treasurer from Seminar immediately felt her face being hot, whether it was from being flustered or being angry, she just did not know.

“What do you need me for?” Sensei asked.

“I need your help to beta test our demo we will show in the Millennium Science and Technology Fair in two days, Sensei.” Momoi answered, she immediately tried to pull his hand towards the clubroom of the Game Development Department.

“Yuuka! Just wait for Noa and the two of you can leave!” Sensei said before being pushed inside the room, leaving the purple haired treasurer alone.

“Geez.” Yuuka thought to herself before pacing back and forth, waiting for Noa.

—---------------------------------------------------------

“Good evening, Sensei.” Momoi’s twin sister Midori said as she scoots to the side, giving Sensei room to sit down.

Sensei nods and watched as Momoi readied the console. “What kind of game did you guys make?”

“An RPG-Sports-Visual Novel-Rhythm game!” Momoi replied enthusiastically as she inserted the disc on the console.

“That’s quite… an ambitious project you guys have here.” Sensei added, knowing that the Game Development Department has the history of wanting to create big games but falling short due to how impossible it was.

Momoi then gave Sensei the controller as they pressed start. “You can do this, Sensei!”

“They don’t know how bad I am with games, especially rhythm ones.” He thought to himself before focusing on the game. “They’re counting on me though, I should at least try to be good.”

As Sensei started playing, he noticed that the game was about fighting monsters while playing sports in a rhythmic pattern. After the first couple of battles , he started to learn that it is quite repetitive.

“Huh? How come Sensei has already mastered this?” Momoi asked in annoyance while Midori watched in awe. “Did Sensei practice without us looking?”

Sensei’s smile started to form after noticing that he has also been improving every time he encounters an enemy. “How would that be possible, Momoi?”

Momoi and Midori continued to watch in awe seeing that Sensei is playing the game they have been working hard on.

“Hey Sensei? May I ask a question?” Midori, who sat closer to Sensei, whispered.

“Of course.” Sensei whispered back.

“Do you want to come with us to the arcade sometimes?” Midori asked as Sensei had a lapse in concentration after hearing that, prompting his long streak of perfect battles to an end. “We have to find inspiration for our game after all.”

“Aww… come on Sensei, what was that?!” Momoi asked as she raised both of her hands, oblivious to the cause.

He couldn’t really give an answer. “As their sensei, I absolutely should to make sure that their game is the best that it can be.”

“What’s going on?” Momoi looked back to see a frozen Sensei and Midori just sitting next to him.

“Momoi, don’t block the TV, it’s my turn to play.” Midori told her, which the older sister followed, sitting down right beside Sensei who was still frozen.

Momoi looked up towards Sensei’s face. “Sensei?”

Sensei finally snapped out of his frozen state after hearing his watch beep. He stood up and was about to exit the door before Midori paused her game and immediately walked towards him.

“Sensei? Is that a yes or a no?” She asked.

Momoi immediately followed her sister, still confused about what happened. “Yes or no to what?!”

Sensei sighed before looking back towards the two of them with a smile. “Of course! What kind of a sensei am I if I don’t help the two of you create the best game possible?”

“Thank you, Sensei.” Midori replied with a slight blush while looking down at the floor before returning to her game.

“What does that mean, Sensei?” Momoi asked once again. “Say yes to what?!”

“Oh, I’ll be joining the two of you at the arcade.” Sensei replied.

“Really?! Amazing!” Momoi jumped of joy before hugging Sensei and returning to the game.

He opened the door and left the Game Development Club room to finally return back to SCHALE after a long day of helping the students for the Millennium Science Fair.

“Before I left the room, I swore that Midori looked unhappy.” Sensei thought to himself as he left the school. “Must’ve lost the round against a monster.”
