Chapter Text
It has been quite some time since a certain Sensei came into my life in one of the lowest point in my life, when the General Student Council was trying to shut down the SRT Special Academy, my home… it was also the time when I said something that I would really regret.
“We hate adults like you the most.” I told him, the only adult that was trying to help us, but hindsight is 20/20, how would I know then what I know now? But that didn’t mean I don’t regret it a bit, now… I- no- we regularly visit his office.
“Ack!” Sensei’s coffee spilled on his pants. “Y- You really scared me there, Miyako. Have you ever heard of ‘knocking at the door’?”
“I’m sorry, Sensei.” I replied. “But I believe you said that the office was open to the RABBIT platoon?”
“That’s not what I-” Sensei stopped midsentence before giving a sigh. “You’re right.”
I really started to see him differently when he opened SCHALE to us, who were technically school-less students , yet he gave us food and shelter, even offered us a bath after that rainy day at Kousagi Park.
“Rabbit 1, this is Rabbit 2, I’m in pursuit with a sukeban near SCHALE.” Rabbit 2, also known as Sorai Saki, told me through radio.
“Copy that, Rabbit 2.” I replied as I grabbed my Rabbit 31 SMG and left the SCHALE office. “Turn on your GPS, Rabbit 2. I’ll be there to back you up.”
“Affirmative.” Saki replied. I was able to find her coordinates in the new watch that could track any of the RABBITs, it has helped us a lot of times.
“I’ll be leaving now, Sensei.” I told him before running towards the door, but I glanced at him one last time before opening it.
He was still looking at his pants like someone clueless about what to do with a wet one, but he did look at me afterwards. “Goodluck, Miyako.”
“Thank you, Sensei.” I replied before opening the door.
Once I left the building, I quickly followed the blue dot on my watch to try and support Rabbit 2 catch this sukeban.
After a long chase, I was able to find a way that could intercept Rabbit 2 and hopefully the sukeban she’s chasing. I ran as fast as I can to turn left and right on the maze of Kivotos streets in order to catch them, then I was able to.
I pinned the sukeban down to the ground at an alleyway, I looked around me to make sure that no one was around to see us doing this operation before pointing my Rabbit 31 at her. “You are under arrest.”
“Rabbit 1!” Saki said as she walked towards us while panting.
“Good work, Rabbit 2.” I replied before turning back towards the sukeban. “Did you really think you could do some dirty deeds while just being near SCHALE? You’re not being brave, you’re crazy.”
“Hah… hah… haha… hahaha!” The sukeban started laughing, she really was crazy.
“What are you laughing at?” Saki asked. I could sense that she was annoyed thanks to her tone of asking.
The sukeban was about to answer but kept being interrupted by either a laugh or a snort, she was doing this whole routine for a whole ten seconds before finally composing herself enough.
“I really am crazy, am I?” She asked. I couldn’t agree more.
“Have you heard yourself talk?” Saki asked. “Of course you are!”
“I wasn’t sure that I would be able to bring Tsukiyuki Miyako herself to chase me after seeing helmet girl chasing me over there.” The sukeban exclaimed and laughed.
“You overestimated yourself.” I replied.
“And yet… haha… yet yo- hahaha!” Her routine of her laughter interrupting her answer returned for another five seconds before composing herself once again. “And yet I was able to bring you two over here, and for the first time since what seemed to be forever, your beloved Sensei was alone without any student near the building.”
Her laugh was way more maniacal after she said that, but I needed more answers from her. “What do you mean by that?”
“A- And you… hahahaha… still haven’t figured it out?! HAHAHA!” She replied.
“She really has the most punchable of faces in all of Kivotos right now.” Saki whispered to me and I agreed.
“SCHALE is unguarded, the only person in there is some mortal human adult that is beloved by most students here in Kivotos.” The sukeban finally was able to speak without laughing. “What do you think I was doing near SCHALE before the whole chase scene?”
“Bad stuff obviously!” Saki’s voice radiated with confidence, as always.
“Exactly.” She answered but continued to laugh afterwards.
“We’ll just leave you to the streets for the KSPD to find and arrest you.” I said before cuffing her.
“After doing that however, I would recommend going back to SCHALE as it’s about to-”
BOOM!
“-welp… too late, I guess.” She shrugged.
Too late? Too late for what? What was that explosion? “What do you mean?”
The crazy maniac started to laugh harder and harder and harder, I was seriously questioning how large her lungs are. “You’ll see! You’ll see! You’ll see! HAHAHAHA!”
“Answer me-”
“Rabbit 1!” Saki shouted after running towards me. “It’s SCHALE tower!”
I looked back at her. “What is it?”
Saki’s eyes were wide, it looked like she was hesitating to answer as she keeps opening her mouth yet she couldn’t speak.
“What is it, Saki?!” I exclaimed, forgetting to call her by her call sign.
“SCHALE exploded!” Saki shouted back. “At the top! The fire is at the top!”
All I could think of at that moment was one single thing. “What about Sensei?”
