If Matt is being honest with himself, something he’s recently been attempting to get better at, he hasn’t had much excitement in his life since the last time he saw Alex. Sure, there’d been parties, there’d been making out with strangers, there’d been recording music, but none of it had made him happy. He’d been feeling rather empty inside since he’d last dropped Alex off at this very airport over a month ago, a clock in the back of his head counting down the days until they’d see each other again, until he’d have his favorite person in his life once more, even if only for a week. Without Alex, he just felt… numb.
