“Am I dead?” his voice sounds hoarse even to himself.
He must’ve passed away and entered heaven, or maybe hell, depending on which point of view he’s looking at it from. He can’t remember when was the last time he actually saw Jinx - they’ve been texting a little, but Ekko knows Kieran is a jealous type, and it’s better not to anger him.
“Why would you say that?”
“Because you’re here,” Ekko rasps out, and although he can’t see it, he’s sure Jinx is rolling her eyes at him.
