“My name is Hopper.” P2 (in costume) announces to the camera,
“And I am, The Owl! Hoo-Hoo!” Denis (Also in costume) hoots, spreading his cape wide for the camera,
“Today, now that we’re in person, we’re going to teach you all about the three R’s.” P2 motions his hand towards the space in between them, where graphics will be added in post-production.
“Reduce,” P2 says,
“Reuse,” Denis adds on,
“And Recycle!” they announce in unison as both sides motion their arms and shake their hands toward the space between them.
“Today’s episode will teach you how to reuse waste; it’s our favorite thing to do!” Denis explains, “You don’t have to buy the latest products to liven your home; all you really need are the things you were about to throw away!”
Denis looks behind the table set with miscellaneous junk as he picks up an empty toy package. “Take a look at this package from a toy—I mean, Knightowl merchandise.”
He looks at his partner, embarrassed, as P2 quietly gives him a thumbs-up. “Throwing it away is easy, but wouldn’t it be exciting if you turned it into something original to accompany your figures?”
“In this segment, in partnership with local environmental awareness organizations, we will discuss how you can save the planet and look good while doing so,” P2 informed as he clearly winked at his partner.
“And cut,” P2 announces, walking over to his cell phone as he pauses the recording. He can hear his Owlet behind him giggle to himself as he gently pulls on his beard.
“P2,” Denis blushed, “I thought we agreed we wouldn’t flirt while we were working!”
“Correct.” P2 confirmed, “I did not mention you during my line read; that was meant to imply that the audience would look better with their reused materials.”
Denis snickered, “You weren’t very subtle about it, though.”
“I might have added something.” P2 said, glancing at his partner, “I hope that’s okay.”
“Oh, P2, you being yourself has never bothered me.” Denis expressed, stepping closer to his partner as he planted a kiss on P2’s feathery cheek, “Why don’t we get started on the next segment before we have to scrap another recording.”
“If you insist, Owlet.” P2 says, planting a kiss of his own onto Denis’ cheek, “Those boxes aren’t going to reuse themselves.”
