Chapter Text

"Wait, wait, you-you need me! I'm the only one who knows about the Cluster, you insufferable half-form traitor mega-clods!" 

Peridot meant to brace for impact but panicing ended up ducking avoiding Garnet. Unknowingly she had also accidently fired the laser she had charged up at Pearl poofing her. Steven yelped the poofed gem's name but Peridot took one glance at the other gems seeing a brief shock spread on their faces she took the chance for an escape. Peridot swiftly grabbed Pearl's gem tossing it into the surronding water. 

"Take that you clods!" Peridot sounded unsure and like a nervous wreck and she knew that. She only blurted that out to try not sound like so but they didnt hear her anyway.

The Gems were too focused on Pearls gem that they had almost completely forgotten about Peridot, using that to her advantage she dashed for the warp pad warping herself to the Gem Battlefield anxiously. 

Garnet hoisted herself back up onto the Galaxy Warp Pearl's gem held in her hand. Steven accidently cut off Garnet before she could even speak. 

"Is Pearl going to be okay?" Steven looked at Garnet concern written all over his face he knew she would be fine but he just wanted to ask.

"She'll be just fine Steven. It's nothing to worry about."

"..."

Amethyst spoke up breaking the uneasy scilence.

"Steve-O! You look like you have something on your mind?" Amethyst only really wanted to change the topic, just avoid it for the moment, put it aside so the other gems could go on with the day normally.

"...She looked scared of something." Steven on the other hand began to dwell a bit maybe even afraid from the 'Cluster' Peridot mentioned.. He looked up to Amethyst to maybe hear him out with his question.

Amethyst looked at Steven curoiusly. She didnt expect him to say that. She thought he would say something about Pearl.. or was he? no no she wouldn't be afraid. 

"Uuuh what?"

"Peridot. She looked really scared could it be the Cluster...?" Steven wanted answers he never did really get alot, especially gem things..

Before Amethyst could respond Garnet answered to Steven.

"Those were just helpless crys from a Homeworld Gem that caught Steven."

"But.." He had a dejected look on his face all he wanted was an answer. A REAL answer.

"Steven please. We'll have to look for her again soon but we should wait for Pearl to come back first."

"Okay Garnet.."

Chapter Text

"Oh stars.."

Peridot made her escape after warping to the Gem Battlefield, running off with a limp from her missing foot on her limb enhancers she felt something trickling on her from the.. sky? It felt wet but all she cared about at the moment was to hide or aleast run away a decent amount from the warp pad. 

Peridot whilst running began trying to contact Yellow Diamond or just a higher up for more renforcement but something weird was happening to her finger screens they were all glitchy. Peridot groaned in annoyance. Couldn't they just WORK when she needed them MOST?! At some point they just turned off completely! Could it be whatevers coming from the sky?

Eventally she ran short of breath and short of patience with whatevers up with this.. this.. CLODDY Earth occurrence. Peridot looked for cover from it, finding a floating rock with a dry spot under she figured she could leave her limb enhancers under it and hide in a bush nearby. She hadn't been without limb enhancers in a long time at homeworld it was oviously a no-go but this strange Earth was messing with them she'd have to fix them or SOMETHING. She was kind of pissed, who wouldn't!?

"Clods.. Those Crystal Clods and this cloddy Earth are so.. so.. GRAAH!!"

Under the floating rock Peridot took off her limb enhancers she felt small after.. well she WAS. But it's a symbol of her rarity! Right? She sighed. She gently hit her forehead with the base of her palm in frustration she felt something bead at her eyes.. they burnt too? She sucked it up and went in a almost hollow bush to hide out.

Peridot felt realy weird. Like something could get her at any momen-! She heard something moving nearby.. Someone? Or something..? She was afraid nonetheless she peeked out the bush to make sure it wasn't those.. clods. What is that? Oh its just leaves or something. She learned what leaves were since there praticlly everywhere on earth so she skimmed records and such. 

"Cloddy.." Peridot seethed.

She felt so nervous but from what? She should be safe here she already contacted Yellow awhile back. Why was she so nervous it's stupid.. Her eyes burnt a little again. This was supposed to be EASY! They said so 'Earth is easy just check the cluster!' 'Nothings gonna happen!'. The green gem didnt even realize she was crying a bit, she knew what crying was she'd seen an off colour or like a perma-fusion cry before and obviously also Blue Diamond she cried almost all the time greiving Pink. Peridot scowled under her breath wiping away the tears she'd thrown some of these fits before the gem always get easily frustated easy. Maybe thats why she got the Earth for its 'easiness'. 

"Has it even-even.. Stopped yet??" 

The Earth occurence hadn't stopped yet. She began to feel really paranoid.
