Summary
Ghost was made to be a weapon—ripped from the wreckage of his pod, trained in silence, and unleashed against threats the military couldn't face themselves. He doesn’t remember his real name, and he doesn’t ask questions. Missions are simple: kill, return, wait. But everything changes when John "Soap" MacTavish, a new tactical analyst with more empathy than self-preservation, is assigned to him.
Unbeknownst to him, there's more to Soap than meets the eye. He's working with the Mer rights group, Currentkind, and they'll stop at nothing to free Ghost from the sterile world he's been living in. If only they could convince him to leave.
As Ghost carries out deadly operations with cold efficiency, Soap begins to see the cracks in the perfect asset—and the person still buried beneath. What starts as duty spirals into something dangerous, as Ghost is forced to question the truths he was built on, and Soap risks everything to help him remember the one thing he was never supposed to have: a choice.
