Work Text:

The sky was turning from a light orange to a dusted pink. It was a Friday, 6:00pm sharp. All of the teachers at UA stayed until 6 on Fridays. That way any leftover work could be done before their return on Monday.
It was only on some Fridays, once or twice a month, however that the UA staff would go out drinking at a local bar. Tonight was one of those nights. Before leaving the house that morning, Izuku reminded his husband not too "wait up" since he would be out a little later than usual, at the bar.
His husband grumbled, but nodded. Then kissed Izuku and left for morning patrol. That's how most mornings were between the two of them. One leaving to teach and one leaving to protect.
A harmonious duo, the two were. They fit each other like puzzle peices, coming together to paint the the most wonderful picture ever seen. Everything they did, seemed like it was planned out before hand. But it truly wasn't. They were just "made for each other" at least that's what their friends would say.
Everyone wanted that kind of relationship. It was one you never really seen in real life. Only in books and television. But they were the only ones who could pull it off so seamlessly. So easily. Like it was second nature to them.
They weren't going out of their way to make their relationship seem more put together than it was. They were simply just themselves. They worshipped and respected each other. Looked up to one another and worked together, despite their differences and rocky past.
Izuku sighed, pulling himself out of his daydream, and realized the sun was near sunset. How long had it been? He checked his watch then scrambled to the teachers lounge.
"Midoriya" Aizawa greeted him tiredly, in all the years that Izuku had known him, he never seemed like be had enough sleep. And still he was such an amazing hero, Izuku respected the man a great deal.
"Hey Sensei!" Izuku said back, smiling warmly before looking around, "are we leaving soon?"
"We're just waiting for Yamada to finish up something." He says turning around to look at the blond typing away on his computer while others in the lounge had small talk. Then be turned back around, and looked Izuku dead in the eye, "and stop calling me sensei, it's unprofessional."
"Awww" Izuku whined, "but you'll always be Mr. Aizawa to me, sir. It's weird to not call you that."
"Fine, problem child" Aizawa says, sighing.
"IM DONE LET'S GO DRINK!" Yamada yells jumping out of his seat. Aizawa face palms and groans.
They all pile in one of the school vans plastered with a big UA logo on the side. Any regular person would probably be embarrassed, but to Izuku it just made him proud. It was such an honor to teach at his alma mater, his mentors alma mater. The most respected hero school in all of Japan.
They went in the building and they each separated, finding their own groups and seats. Yamada, Aizawa and Izuku sat together at the bar. Aizawa and Yamada and been married for years, but they didn't mind Izuku sitting with them.
They both loved the boy, considering him one of their adopted kids, even though they never adopted him. They all had a deep bonds, and trusted each other. After all they had almost died together countless times. They were comfortable together. Izuku was just happy to be with the people he loved and respected.
It started with them all ordering one drink each. Making conversation about hero rankings, work, how the class of 1-A was doing now that they are all growing up and on their own.
Then it was another. And another. the minutes passed as they talked about childhood memories, relationships, and trauma. Izuku kept drinking and drinking. Was Yamada and Aizawa drinking as much as him? As fast as him?
Ah he wasn't supposed to care. These days were supposed to be about letting go the teacher stress of the week, and relaxing on the weekend. At some point Aizawa had said that he needed to slow down. Yamada laughed and agreed. Izuku laughed and ordered another drink. Why did he do that?
Izuku wasn't upset or anything. He wasnt mad. He really was just trying to loosen up a bit. He didn't realize how stressful teaching really was. He felt bad most days, trying to count all the countless times that 1-A was even slightly like his classes now. He would realize that they really were problem children, and understood why Aizawa was so tired all of the time.
He pulled his tie loose. It hung around his neck, threatning to slip everytime he moved too much. Especially when he would giggle at something that was barely funny. He ordered another drink. Some of his co-workers began to leave.
The sky was dark. He ordered another drink. Aizawa was drunk, Yamada was typsy. He ordered another drink. Had the room always been able to move like that? He ordered another drink.
Izuku feels a hand on his shoulder. He turns around sluggishly, head dropping around. But his eyes opening wide when he realized who it was. "Kaahchannn!" He slurred out, smiling, his face slightly red, as he reached for the man.
"Hey nerd" Katsuki said lowly, grabbing on to Izuku, when he reached out to him, engulfing the blond in a hug. "What are youu doing here?" Izuku asked, confused.
"You called me, Izuku. You're drunk, it's almost 11."
"Who called you?" Izuku asked leaning closer to hear Katsuki better, stumbling onto the blond in the process. Katsuki caught him, and held him in place. "I'm taking you home, izuku."
"ohhh okay kachan!" Izuku said, pulling away from his husband and stumbling back over to Aizawa and Yamada who were watching the scene unfold from their chairs.
"Hey! Kacchan is taking me home, who called him?" Izuku slurred out. Aizawa started laughing so hard that he started crying. Izuku tilted his head, giggling a little, still confused. Wait what was he confused at again?
Yamada leans over Aizawa, "you just called him a few minutes ago, Midoriya!" He says, laughing hard.
"Whaa? N'i didn-" he stops in his blabber, as he sees his phone opened on the counter and left on Katsuki's contact. How much did he drink? When had he called katsuki? Just then he feels the hand return to his shoulder, before he's spun around, and facing his husband.
"I think m'drunk kacchan" Izuku slurs, giggling a little, practically jumping on to Katsuki. "I know, Izuku. " Katsuki says, ruffling his green hair. Izuku clings to his arm as katsuki steps to the bar, collecting his husbands things. Then turning to Aizawa and Yamada, "why didn't you guys stop him?" He groans. "You know he doesn't handle alcohol the best."
Aizawa starts laughing again. Yamada chuckles, "being a teacher is tough work kid, give him a break." Katsuki turns to Izuku, who is absent mindedly muttering something to himself, still clung to Katsukis arm. "I'm gonna take him home, do you guys need a ride?"
Yamada smiles kindly, "no were good kid, Shouta might not be able to handle alcohol the best, but I'm only typsy. We will be fine. Drive safe, okay?"
Katsuki nods and waves, Izuku tells them both goodnight, then stumbling as the bonde pulls him away.
"Waittt where are we going Kacchan?" Izuku asks again, as Katsuki helps him into the passenger seat, then closes the door and gets in the driver side. He sighs, "we're going home, zuku"
"Oh. 'm sorry Kacchan. You're prob-ly tired frm work. " Izuku stutters, eyes welling up with tears.
Katsuki reaches over and ruffles his hair, smiling slightly. Hell, he was tired. But God, he would go through hell and back a billion times for Izuku. "I'm not tired, Izuku."
The blond takes his hand from the messy green locs and sets it on izukus leg. Izuku hummed in response. Smiling at his husband, cheeks turning more red.
They reach their house. It wasn't the biggest, or fanciest, it was nice sure but that didn't matter to them, it was home. A place where they could be their comfortable-natural selves, away from the public eye. Katsuki walked around the car and picked Izuku up bridal style and carried him inside the house.
Izuku blushed more and nuzzled his face in Katsukis chest. The blond chuckled and carried the green haired boy to their bed, shutting the bedroom door behind him. He set Izuku down on the bed and instantly crouched down to take his dress shoes off, then started unbuttoning his shirt.
Izuku turned his head, blushing furiously as Katsuki continued to undress him. "Stand up and take off your pants, nerd" Katsuki said, casually. Izuku stood up, almost stumbling, "turn around Kacchan!"
"What like I haven't seen you naked before, nerd?" Katsuki chuckled, Izuku squeaked, his face becoming a deep shade of red. Katsuki threw up his left hand and pointed at his ring. "We're literally married, Izuku!"
Izuku pouted until Katsuki sighed, and turned around, opening one of izukus drawers and pulling out a pair of boxers and throwing it at him. Izuku watched as he turned around again, so he changed his boxers, giggling as Katsuki slightly turned around to peek.
"Kacchan!! " he giggled, stumbling back on to the bed. Katsuki chucked and smiled as he walked over to their closet, grabbing a shirt of izukus that said "T-shirt" and threw it at him. "Put it on, nerd."
He walked over to the bed where Izuku was sitting, pulling the shirt over his head, and stood between his legs. Izuku smiled, and pulled katsuki into a kiss. Gentle but deep. Sloppy but loving.
"Alright Izuku, let's go to sleep. I'm tired. And you're gonna feel like shit in the morning." Katsuki said tiredly laughing. Izuku just hummed and crawled under the covers. Katsuki raised an eyebrow "really zuku? That's my side and you know it".
" Nuh uh!! " Izuku giggled, wrapping himself in the comforter. The blond smirked, "Fine then" then chuckled. He climbed into the bed beside his husband. Pushing him over, depite izukus protests. "Alright c'mon nerd" Katsuki said softly while patting the area beside him.
Izuku smiled and practically jumped into Katsukis side, arm wrapping around his chest, with Katsukis arms holding on to him. "I love you Kacchan" Izuku mumbled, nodding off in his lovers arms.
"Love you too nerd."
