Summary
That’s how Steph is supposed to love Cass. She’s supposed to be her best friend, and make her smile, and maybe sometimes get really drunk and cry in her general direction on their shared couch now that they’ve made the transition to adulthood. She is not, under any circumstances, supposed to think near-obsessively about licking a slow bead of sweat off of her best friend’s neck, of biting at the shell of her best friend’s ear, of swallowing in her own mouth any little sounds her best friend might make as a response to any particular stimulus.
Of course, she thinks about it constantly. Which is exactly why she’s moving out of the Clocktower and into this apartment, no matter how terrible it is.
