Summary
When Vox, a distinguished captain from the kingdom of Solum, gets captured by the enemy kingdom of Luell, he is furious. How could he let himself get ambushed? How could he have worked so hard for his position and fought so many battles, just for it to come to this? Vox refuses to cooperate with the other kingdom. As a proud soldier of Solum, he would rather be executed than collude with the enemy. That is, until he lays eyes on the most beautifully perfect person he has ever seen: The prince of Luell, Ike Eveland. Maybe this “horrible” kingdom isn’t so bad after all?
Or: Captain Vox Akuma takes one look at prince Ike Eveland of the opposing kingdom, and it is love at first sight. Vox then proceeds to do anything and everything he can to win over Ike’s affections.

I genuinely love the premise of a perhaps hard-headed captain like Vox, falling head-over-heels for the prince of the opposing kingdom. An ikeakuma story taking place in a royal au is something I never knew I needed, but alas, here we are...
Can I just add how much I love the way you write and characterise everyone? Because...wow, the immersion was definitely on fleak! I could also definitely feel the amount of disgust radiating off of Fulgur, almost as if Vox was a dog, foaming at the mouth.
Vox happily working at the stable and enjoying life (the little crumbs of Ike he manages to snag) is genuinely everything to me. Why must this guy excel at being the horse-whisperer, all of this is crazy to me. The scene with the dog too, I really thought Vox was about to get mauled guy some random ass dog...
I look forward to how the rest of the story will play out, thank you for writing this with such grace!
