    It wasn't until the third full Moon after Hiccup's heat that Jack noticed that something had changed. He'd been slow to notice it. When at first Hiccup wouldn't return at night to their den occasionally, Jack didn't think much of it. It wasn't entirely uncommon that Hiccup would work himself so tired that he'd fall asleep in the workshop. Once or twice a week was understandable, even if it was somewhat pushing it, but four or five days in a row was too much.
