Summary
Pete didn’t expect to find four young girls hidden away in a house tied to the Foundation’s shadows. He definitely didn’t expect the pack to be the only ones who could take them in — even if it’s just temporary.
No one in the pack has experience with kids. Some can’t have them. Most never even considered it. Every pair is already juggling their own mess: broken trust, buried trauma, unresolved pain.
And now? Four traumatized children with nowhere else to go.
It’s supposed to be short-term. Just until the system figures something out. But the longer the girls stay, the more they wedge themselves into the hearts of the reluctant, struggling adults trying to keep it together.
This wasn’t supposed to be a family. But maybe, against all odds, it’s becoming one.
