A voice resounding from behind the counter–Kind and warm, like a mothers. “Oh! Well, howdy there! I’ll be with you in just a sec, hon.” Taking a glance around while he waited, Shadow took note of the fact that the only other person there was a man sitting at one of the lone tables, a hedgehog with blue downturned quills, a peach muzzle, piercing green eyes, and peeking up from behind a deep green tunic was more of that peach fur, although he couldn't tell if it went all the way down to his stomach, or was just localized to the man’s chest. Shadow quickly realized that he had been staring at the other hedgehog for far too long when they made eye contact, the stranger giving a friendly wave and a smile. Shadow scowled in response, huffing to himself quietly as he turned his head away. He tugged his cloak's hood down a little more as the man began to make his way over to him, Shadow crossing his arms over his chest under the warm wool of his protective barrier. He rubbed absentmindedly at his chest, trying to soothe the ache pressing in on his torso.
