After the explosion on Rainbow Road, it's hard to imagine anyone in King Bowser's army didn't take notice. Several army members were injured on the track, and some even went missing, including General Koopa...
The rest returned to base and continued with their assigned: capturing the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach. During the capture, the army surrounded her alertly to prevent her escape, threatening her with pointed spears. Among them was the Koopa with a patch, who gazed at Peach with hatred and disgust as she plotted everything, thinking of her triumph.
He wanted to stab her and bleed her dry with Mario and his team... but he noticed Peach's sad gaze, which changed Koopa's expression.
Did they really think they'd defeat Bowser? With just one of Kingdom Kong's troops...How ridiculous!
