“Uhhh,” Steve says over Eddie’s shoulder, stopping just short of his side of their shared booth on the library’s third floor, eyes huge on Eddie’s laptop, jaw slack. His tongue fumbles the fat, lavender straw poking out of his strawberry milk tea and sends it straight up his left nostril. “Ow,” he rubs at his nose, mumbling under his breath.
