“Are you sure about this?” Jackson asks, his hands caging both sides of his best friend’s head.
His best friend. The woman he trusted more than anyone has entrusted him with something so special, so sacred to her and her faith. There was no going back to the simple, platonic dynamic if she was sure about this; lines would be crossed, boundaries would be broken.
