Then she let out a quiet, broken sound from her throat, a soft moan she didn’t mean to make but couldn’t hold back.
Caitlyn’s eyes snapped open, embarrassed, but her body didn’t lie. Every nerve in her lower back hummed in relief. She let her forehead rest against the padded bed with a small exhale, lips parting slightly as she tried to steady her voice.
Vi didn’t miss a beat. Her hands kept moving, firm and fluid, like she hadn’t just pulled that noise out of her.
“Was that permission to keep going?” Vi asked, her tone light, but there was something velvety in it, edged with a smile.
Caitlyn didn’t answer right away. She just let out a long, shaky breath, eyes fluttering closed again. A hint of a smirk tugged at her mouth.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” she muttered, voice slightly hoarse.
