Maybe, just maybe, it was already unsteady from the very beginning.
Because on days like this, as they reminisce about what has been, used to doing it alone, together, now doing it alone together, Heeseung and Jongseong could only cling to the idea of what could’ve been.
Years.
People will always remember them by that word, the number of summers they spent existing in each other’s worlds attached to it.
But as the decades go by, the last and final year will always be a sore reminder of what was once theirs.
