   Summary

   A Colin and Penelope story that follows TV show canon fairly closely at first but soon diverges, and includes some nods, quotes and timeline changes that align with the 'Romancing Mr Bridgerton' novel.
   I do not yet know what the chapter count will be, but you can expect a long fic.

   Penelope Featherington has not written to Colin Bridgerton on his travels after the pain of overhearing him deride her in front of his friends, at her own ball, last season. Nor has she seen or spoken with her ex-best friend Eloise Bridgerton, after Eloise discovered her biggest secret - that she is the mysterious scandal sheet writer, Lady Whistledown!

   Penelope tries to move forward after a miserable off-season. Realising she has to rely on herself to enact the change she wants to see in her life, she can't wait for happiness to find her.
