Tears of Aquamarine

Summary:

Death is irreversible, yet I can't help but want her to live.
Is that so wrong of me?
- Marion A.

Work Text:

The sun looked beautiful. Or perhaps it was the moon.

Either way, she looked beautiful when she cried.

"Oh, Marion..." "Don't call me that.!" She wept, clutching me like I were a fragile plant.
Her sobs and cries echoed on the darkened stage yet I was sure I was the only one who could hear it.

"My star, my sapphire..." I hummed, choking on my own blood yet couldn't dare to let her go as her tears sank into the fabric of my crimson clothing. If only her sorrow could will me to stay alive a little longer. Oh, my lovely...

"Please..." She managed to say. "Please don't leave me too." She held me tighter. How I wish I wouldn't. "Oh, Marion..." I breathed out, feeling blood slip from my mouth.

Oh my dearest Marion. How I wish you live a life without me. You, who shine eternally, please live. If not for yourself, then consider it my final wish. I want you to live... I'm sorry for not hating you. I never could, no matter how much I know you wanted me to.

May these words never reach you.
May my heart die with these feelings.
May you live the life I desire for you.

You truly are a loved being.
I can't help but be drawn to you, my dear.

How I love you.

May my selfish love never be requited.
