“So I never did get to thank you for last night’s date. It was honestly a success!” Ragatha says as she and her girlfriend walked through The Grounds. Caine decided to do an in-house adventure this time which was a simple scavenger hunt. Surprisingly everyone was fine with that probably because it doesn’t mean going on a life threatening adventure that would definitely leave someone traumatized.
However, because this was a scavenger hunt everyone managed to finish early so everyone went and did there own things. Pomni surprisingly suggested Ragatha give her a proper tour of The Grounds however because this is Pomni we’re talking about it probably went about as well as usual.
*Earlier that day*
“S-so Ragatha… I was hoping… t-today we can go out for a walk and m-maybe even h-have the picnic… just the t-two of us… I’ve been having a lot of fun spending time together just the two of us…” Pomni nervously asks.
Despite managing to keep a calm composure. She was obviously panicking inside. “%$!#, %$!#, %$!%!!! Why are you so nervous!?! You two are practically girlfriends!!! Wait are you!?! Did you ask during the date!?!” She says to herself.
“Of course I’d love to sweetie.” Ragatha says obviously teasing.
“S-sweetie?!” Pomni says, her flustered state of mind going into more chaos.
“Oh no did I break her?” Ragatha asks herself.
*Present*
“So. This seems like the perfect spot. Don’t you agree?” Ragatha’s statement causing Pomni to snap out of her flashback. She places a blanket and basket down.
“Yeah it is honestly pretty beautiful.” Pomni replies as they both sit down on the hilltop. “Though not as beautiful as you…” Pomni quickly covers her mouth. “I’m sorry! Was that out loud?! I mean you are beautiful I just didn’t mean to say that!”
“Pomni! Pomni! Calm down.” A blushing Ragatha raises her hands up to Pomni in an attempt to calm her down. Eventually she begins to calm down. “Let’s just eat for now.” They both begin looking through the picnic basket.
Little do they both, they’re being spied on in the distance by none other than Jax who’s hiding behind a bush. He lowers his binoculars. “There they are… look at those two. All lovey dovey!” A disgruntled sigh is heard beside him. “God, I knew you were petty but I didn’t know you were this petty! Why are you so fixated on them right now.” Zooble pokes their head out.
“I’m gonna play a little prank on them. Besides, if you’re so annoyed by me why’d you bother following?” The rabbit asks.
“To make sure you don’t ruin something actually nice.”
“Aw come on, I’m technically not ruining something. I’m just having a little fun that’s all!”
“I’m gonna call it. This is gonna come back to bite you in the %$!# later on.”
“It’ll be worth it.” Jax shrugs and continues to spy on Ragatha and Pomni.
“Hey, uh… Ragatha…” Pomni begins. “Hm. What is it Pomni?” Ragatha turns to look at her friend. Pomni tries to swallow the lump in her throat. She feels cold. Really cold. “Would you consider us to be girlfriends? I know we went on only one date. Yet, at the same time. We’ve built such a strong bond and relationship and… well… you make me feel happy.” Her heart thumping in her chest and feeling lightheaded, Pomni looks at Ragatha in anticipation. “Of course I’m still fine being friends! You know, we don’t have to be a couple…”
Ragatha stares at Pomni a bit, she begins to assume the worst. “I’m sorry Pomni, your question caught me off guard. I’d love to be your partner…” she smiles at the jester who smiles back.
The two continue to smile at each other. “Pomni, is it alright if I kiss you?” Ragatha asks. Pomni nods, “Yeah it’s quite alright.”
Pomni slowly wraps her arms around Ragatha. The two leaning on each other. The two plant their lips on each other. Everything around them seemingly faded as both their heart rates slowed down to match their calmness. Nothing else mattered to them. They soon let go of each other and disengage in their kiss. They continue to madly blush as they lie down next to each other and hold hands.
“I love you Pomni.”
“I love you too Ragatha.”
Jax begins to peek his head out from the bush. His smile widens, he prepares to enact his plan. However, Zooble isn’t having it. Slowly the begin to look around before looking up and spotting how they’re both under a bee hive. Caine always did love his bees.
Slowly they begin to back away from Jax. They have one shot at this. Detaching their arm they raise it up and throw it at the branch. Being able to move the detached limb on their own, Zooble uses it to break the branch causing the hive fall besides Jax.
Jax turns to look at in curiosity. Slowly a bee begins to poke its head out. It looks up at Jax before the swarm charges at him. Shouting in fear he gets up and tries to swipe them away however he doesn’t notice where he’s stumbling and manages to trip on his discarded binoculars causing him to fall directly on an anthill. Now in full panic he tries to run again only to go right into a tree.
“Did you hear something?” Pomni asks as she gets up and looks around. “It sounded like screaming?” Ragatha also gets up and looks around. “I heard it to. Sounded like Jax…”
“Wanna go see if he’s all right?” Pomni asks. Ragatha shrugs “Nah if he’s screaming it’s probably a good thing. He’s probably facing karma of some kind.”
Pomni is taken aback by the sudden change. “Wow…”
“What. Am I not allowed to hate Jax? I may try to see the best in everyone but at some point you can only deal with someone putting centipedes in your room for so long until you give up on them.” Lying back down Ragatha pats the ground near her. “How about we just not worry about that and continue to look at the sky.” Smiling Pomni lies down next to her, “Yeah that’d be nice.”
The two look at the sky happy, hand in hand as their bond has now grown to be stronger than ever.
