    Summary

She only spoke to one other person.
That was all she needed, anyway.

Enola finally attends the ball Tewksbury had been begging to take her to at the end of EH2. They dance eighty-percent of the night, which would've been impossible (in regards to potential scandal) had they not escaped into the courtyard for privacy (and for evasion of said potential scandal).
One minor inconvenience: Enola knows only one dance. She scarcely has time to educate herself on the laws of polka and other nonsense. And her new teacher is discovered to be an unlikely boy in an unlikely place.
So, her night managed to consist of an odd amount of excitement: dance lessons from a stranger, pretending to hate parties (while secretly enjoying her accomplice's company). In summary, it was nothing but a night of Tewksbury, toffee cakes, and tactical escapes--and two special surprises for the reader.

(Any "the Notebook" fans--or even anyone who's ever seen the movie--may possibly understand the inspiration behind a certain scene...think what you will, but keep your head out of the gutter!)
