Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Aziraphale, a very angelic type of fae with white hair, blue eyes, a long sleeve white shirt, brown pants and the most gorgeous white wings flew around the forest where all the fae folk lived. He was flying around with his friends Anathema and Newt, simply talking and enjoying the sunshine, the usual. However, this time, Anathema and Newt were wanting to explore the other half of the forest, one they never got to go to, because it had a much more demonic vibe to it.

He had heard stories about the darker part of the forest but he never truly knew if the rumours were true or not because they were forbidden from ever entering by their leaders Gabriel and Michael which is why Aziraphale wasn’t entirely sure about going over there but his friends insisted so he went along with them.

The three of them flew over to the dark part of the forest, not knowing what to expect. As they entered, everything felt spooky and they could feel the demonic energy wash over them as they flew along. The farther they went, they eventually saw one of the dark fae. This fae, had absolutely beautiful long red wavy hair, golden eyes, a long sleeve turtleneck black shirt with very tight looking black pants and of course dark wings that went along with the rest of the dark outfit. Aziraphale couldn’t help but stare.

None of them had ever seen fae folk like this as they usually only ever saw the angelic fae in their half of the forest. Aziraphale was amazed at the sight. Anathema and Newt couldn’t believe the sight. And then, the demonic fae glanced over at them, Aziraphale trying to pretend as if he never saw anything and tried to hide a blush as he saw how even more beautiful this fae was.

However, the leaders of the demonic fae, Beelzebub and Shax came over and shooed the three angelic fae away. The three quickly flew back to their half of the forest, not wanting to get in trouble with anyone. Unbeknownst to Aziraphale, the red haired fae kept watch of him as he left, secretly hoping he’d be back soon.

The next few days went by and Aziraphale could not get the red haired fae off his mind. He had considered going back over and seeing whoever they were, but he didn’t want to risk discipline from his leaders. It took a lot of thinking but eventually he came to the conclusion of going back over there anyways.

So, he went to see this mysterious red haired fae he had come across. He flew to the demonic half of the forest, hoping to see him again. After a bit of flying he spotted him by one of the trees. He slowly flew up to him.

“Um, hello! I’m Aziraphale! Who might you be?” Aziraphale spoke up and asked. The red haired fae glanced at Aziraphale, a bit surprised to see him, but secretly glad he had returned.

“I’m Anthony J. Crowley. But, you can call me Crowley.”, Crowley held out a hand for Aziraphale to shake.

“What’s the J stand for?”

“‘Mm just a J really.”

“Haven’t really seen you around before Crowley.”

“Cause we’re not really supposed to be mingling around with anyone in the angelic half of the forest.”, Crowley shrugged. “Something about your lot being too nice. We’re not nice.”

“Well, you seem nice to me.”

Crowley grabbed him by his white shirt. “Shut it. I’m not nice. Nice is a four letter word-”

1000032972.pngBefore Crowley could say anything else he noticed Hastur and Ligur out of the corner of his eye, spying on the two of them. He sighed and let go of Aziraphale’s shirt. Aziraphale was a bit distracted by how close him and Crowley had been but shook it off. He glanced over at Hastur and Ligur and then back at Crowley.

“I suppose I should get going.” Aziraphale turned to leave.

“Wait!” Crowley quickly called out and Aziraphale stopped. “D’ya think we could maybe meet up somewhere sometime? To get to know each other?”

Aziraphale thought for a moment and whispered so Hastur and Ligur hopefully wouldn’t hear. “There’s a secret garden over on my side we could meet. No one would have to know we were there.”

“Excellent.”

And with that, they said their goodbyes and the two of them parted ways again. Both of them couldn’t wait for the next time they’d get to see each other, which they hoped would be soon in the secret garden Aziraphale had spoken about.
