Summary
Buck’s voice is all ‘Do you wanna go for the title?’, and it’s lower than he usually speaks, and he wraps his tongue around Eddie’s name then throws it at him in a way that sucks all the air out of Eddie’s lungs.
‘You can’t, you can’t do that.’ Eddie hears it – it sounds pathetic. There’s no meaning behind it.
Buck knows it, he knows Eddie so well – Eddie’s never been able to lie to him, never been able to tell him no. ‘Says who?’
