Chapter 1: Proloug
Chapter Text
Everything hurt.
His Legs, his Arms, his Head.
His Mind.
Everything was just a throbbing rythem of pain crawling through his Body at one. Everywhere.
The Chains on his Wrist and Ankles didn't make it easier. The consten pulling and scratching made his skin all red and itchy.
He wanted to go home.
But, where was home? What, was home?
Did he had a Home?
If yes, why isn't he there with his Family.
But, what is Family?
He knows the Concept of a Family.
Family, a group of persons united by the ties of marriage, blood, or adoption, constituting a single household and interacting with each other in their respective social positions, usually those of spouses, parents, children, and siblings. The family group should be distinguished from a household, which may include boarders and roomers sharing a common residence. It should also be differentiated from a kindred (which also concerns blood lines), because a kindred may be divided into several households. Frequently the family is not differentiated from the marriage pair, but the essence of the family group is the parent-child relationship, which may be absent from many marriage pairs.
The Doctors told him, they were a Family. But, he didn't believe it. Not with the Constant Experiments, Training and the fear of doing anything Wrong.
No.
That was not training. It was Torture.
He didn't know why, but rage was bubbling up in his Chest.
But, it was not his own.
He stopped walking. His breathing became ragged. It started at the core of his being, like a spark igniting a dormant flame. His heart raced, and for the first time in what felt like forever, he felt something. A pulse of energy. It hummed in his veins, filling his body with an overwhelming force.
The Guards infront of him, turned and yanked at his Chains. "Start walking Brat!"
The sudden force brought the boy to his knees. His chained hands on the Floor. His breathing became even faster. His eyes began to give off a violet glow.
"Oi,Brat! I said move!"
The second guard came to him and gripped his blue-ish hair tight, yanking it upwards. "BRAT! We sa-"
He didn't get to finish. His eyes widded and his hands started shaking.
"What's wrong?"
"H-He-"
Suddenly pure cosmatic energy eruppted from the childs Back. Grabbing Guard 2#- with it's Claw like state- and smashing him against the Wall. A second Claw came for Guard 1#. This Time throwing him down the Hall. It ended with a splashing sound in the far back.
The Claw around the second Guard tightened as he begged for Mercy. But it didn't brought him anything. His Oxygen came short and with one final, hard and destrictive, grip, the Body shattered.
Blood splashed everywhere, exept on the Boy. He was clean from the Crimson liquid.
The Energy travelled down to his restrained Wrists and Ankles.
They shattered on Impact.
His legs moved before he even realized it, propelled forward by the force of this new power. He didn’t know where he was going, but he couldn’t stay here any longer. He stumbled through the hallway, his steps uncoordinated, but the energy coursing through him made him move faster, the ground beneath him blurring with every stride.
Alarms blared around him, but the sound where drowned out by his incrising heartbeat.
His new Power waved around him like Ribbons, slamming everything in its path.
Every Guard that tried to restrain him got either smashed into the sealing or thrown across the Hall. The walls seemed to collapse around him as he ran, the harsh lights overhead flickering in time with his heartbeat. His calves started to burn. Getting hotter with every step.
With one final step, it erupted again.
But the form was diffrent this Time.
Six small holes were carved into his Calves. Each glowing in a mix of Violet,Indigo and Turquios.
It roarded and darted him to the end of the Hallway in Seconds.
With shaking Hands, the bluenette ripped the Doors open, smelling the Fresh Rainy Air for the first time in.........He didn't know how long it has been.
His small naked feet felt the soft wet grass underneath them and then.......he ran.
The Boy ran as fast as he could. The cosmatic energy giving him a Boost.
His body felt light, almost weightless, as though gravity itself had no hold over him.
He collapsed in an Alley Way in the near by City. His small body pressed against the dirty Wall like its a Lifeline.
Well for him it was.
He slipped down to the ground. His Head resting against a Dumpster. His gaze wondered around, looking for anything that could help him.
But he only saw a Sign. Pink Neon lights shining against the dark Stone Concrete he was laying on.
"Kanao's Secret" It said, written in Kanji.
He liked this Name.
Kanao.
It meant Flower.
Or was it Petal?
He didn't care.
It was a Beautifull name eitherway.
------
Shiranami Kaito didn't know what he was seeing.
He had gone after a heavy Energy Signal that had, quit literally, shaken the sky and turned it into a Storm of Grey Clouds and thunder.
And now here he was, staring at the source.
A boy, not taller then 143cm, collapsed next to a dumpster. Soaked to the bone, covered in sweat and grim. Chest rising. Fingers twitching. Red marks around his Wrist and Ankles. And a Violet color forming on the the boys arms. Going from his Wrists to the middle part of his Arms.
His Skin was pale, the moonlight making it look like a shining diamond. Dressed in only a paper thin Hospital gown.
Kaito knelt down and gently wrapped his Coat around the trembling Body.
The Child flinched, before snuggeling closer into the warmth.
A moment passed. Then, the boy looked up, showing Kaito his eyes.
One Eye was a Sapphire Color, The Other was a Ruby. The Pupils were inverted. On the Sapphire Side, it was a Ruby and on the Ruby Side it was a Sapphire. And both were circled with a Golden Ring each.
The Black Haired Man had never seen Eyes like these before. They were extraordinary. Almost Magical.
"What's your Name Kid?"
The Boys lips parted.
"K-Kanao."
Chapter 2: KURAI YUE: ORIGINS
Summary:
We see a quick peak into Yue's Life.
Chapter Text
Vigilantes are people who voluntarily carry out duties usually done by Pro Heroes without paying attention to the law.
Due to the Hero regulations and Quirk restriction laws, people are not allowed to perform heroic duties on their own; thus, vigilantism is illegal.

Kurai Yue kept her pace steady as she weaved through the late afternoon crowds of Tokyo’s bustling streets. The warm buzz of neon signs flickered to life above her head, casting soft glows across storefront windows and vending machines. She always preferred this time of day—when the sunlight dipped behind buildings, but the city hadn’t fully fallen into its nighttime rush. The streets breathed slower here, even as noise spilled from arcades and cafés.
Thirteen years old and walking alone through the city with a job to deliver, Yue didn’t look out of place. Tokyo was full of kids her age. Some ran laughing to karaoke booths or convenience stores. Some clung to the arms of friends. Yue didn’t mind being alone. She was used to the quiet now. Not because she didn’t like people—just because people didn’t always know what to do with grief when it came in a small, quiet package like her.
The canvas bag slung over her shoulder bounced slightly as she adjusted it, the envelope inside sealed with a red stamp for delivery to a small business office tucked behind Shibuya Crossing. Nothing fancy. But the job paid enough to cover groceries. And Yue liked being useful.
She passed a billboard for the new Number 13 Hero, a smiling woman with wings made of starlight. Yue’s gaze lingered. Heroes had always meant something to her. They were the reason she still believed people could try to be good, even when everything broke. She didn’t idolize them blindly—not anymore—but she respected what they stood for. Or what they were supposed to stand for.
Midoriya Izuku reminded her of that. The way he spoke about heroes, like they were stars in a constellation he was desperate to understand. Yue saw the same fire in him that lived quietly in her own chest—this need to protect, to fix things, to stop the world from falling apart again. They’d met through Inko, Izuku’s mother, who treated Yue like one of her own. Yue still remembered the first time she was offered tea in the Midoriya living room. She hadn’t realized how much she’d missed the sound of someone fussing over her.
Sometimes, Yue wondered what her mother would have thought of Inko. She probably would’ve liked her. They both hummed when they cooked.
She crossed the street, pausing as a group of heroes soared past. The crowd cheered. Yue smiled faintly. Those were Heroes from IidaTen. She knew their Names from an Announcment from Three Years ago.Jetstorm, Ingenium and Achilles. Three Brothers who lost someone dear those Three Years ago.
But Heroes came and went, some like flashes of light, some like storms. Yue had her favorites, though. Ochaco had been kind to her at a martial arts meet once, complimenting her stance with a big grin. Ojiro had become a kind of sparring partner—steady, polite, and endlessly focused. And Sero… well, he was loud, fast, and funny. He reminded her that life didn’t always have to be heavy.
And then there was Bakugou.
Yue didn’t like him, not in the way people usually meant. She didn't like the way off how he treated Izuku. But she respected him. He was fire bottled in flesh. And even if he roared like a beast, Yue saw the sharp eyes that missed nothing, the unspoken protectiveness in the way he stepped between others and danger. She wasn’t scared of him. She wasn’t impressed by his explosions either. But she understood him. Broken things often recognized each other.
A vendor called out, offering sesame buns. Yue paused, checked her wallet, and handed over a few coins. She took the hot bun with a soft “xie xie” out of habit—her Mandarin was fading, but some phrases stuck like tree roots. Her mother used to make buns on cold nights. Pork and chive, steaming in the apartment that smelled of ginger and books.
She didn’t cry anymore. But the memories clung sometimes, like a second skin.
The bag at her side shifted again. She tightened her grip.
The apartment she lived in was too big for her. Echoing and full of old furniture and dust. But the landlord- Kaido-san —had been her father’s friend. He paid for it in full, said it was the least he could do. Yue never asked questions. She just kept it clean, quiet, and filled it with light.
She took the stairs to the office, dropped off the envelope, bowed politely, and left. No need for small talk. Her job was done.
Back on the street, the sky was turning orange, streaked with purple clouds. Yue tilted her face up, letting the wind press into her cheeks.
Heroes and villains. Light and dark. The city never stopped spinning, never stopped choosing who to cheer for and who to fear. But Kurai Yue didn’t care about applause. She cared about what happened after the cameras left. She cared about the people who never made headlines. She cared about making sure what happened to her family didn’t happen to someone else.
She finished the bun. Tossed the paper in the bin.
Then she kept walking. Always forward.
The city didn’t wait for grief.
And Kurai Yue wouldn’t wait for permission to protect it.
______________
Yue shifted her Weight onto her left leg. Her right one was sore from training.
Kicking things was hard.
She winced at the pain, but continued her way Home.
If she could just use her hover boards....
But using your Quirk without a License was illegal, so walking it is.
-------------
Yue found her way into a Park. It was late Spring and the Sakura Blossoms still bloomed in their Might.
She liked Sakura Trees. Their Form, Their Smell and Color.
She closed her Eyes for a Moment. Just letting the Wind flow through her dimmed Blue hair.
That's when she heard....a Tune.
Some simble, but beautiful Guitare Strings.
Followed by some soft humming.
