Neuvillette looked away for a moment or two at an indiscernible spot on the wall. When he looked upon her again, his cheeks had flushed a light blue color, only slight. Furina, in all her anxiety, failed to notice. She was too busy running various responses and weighing the pros and cons of each in her mind.

“It’s fine, Neuvillette!” Furina blurted. “I don’t intend to trap you—”
