Summary
Felip is a Child of the World, born of the flames, and the current king of Oyore, taking over after the bloody death of his predecessor. He wants only one thing: that he and his people be left to live their lives in peace. But when a Kingdom from the far North passes by his territory and gifts him a prince for goodwill, Felip finds himself meeting Cullen, also a Child of the World, one born of the ice, and with his own fortress of secrets.
It is often said that the World gives one what they need and not what they want. Felip cannot fathom why the World brought him and Cullen together, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad to find out why.
