Skizz loved having control over gravity.
As Impulse ran past him he threw his powers towards his friend to keep him in the air. Impulse whooped as he floated between the rooftops of the city. Skizz did the same as he became lighter than a balloon.
Once he was over the building he needed he returned to his normal weight and landed with a roll. Impulse laughed as he joined him. “We’re getting better at this.”
Skizz nodded eagerly as his smile left him breathless. “Speed me up? I want to make it to that skyscraper.” He pointed to the tallest building they could reach.
“You’re on.” Impulse cracked his knuckles and rolled his shoulders.
Skizzleman ran across the concrete and as his friend’s powers made him blur faster than the eye could see he leaped into the air and turned off gravity completely. “Wooooh!!!!!” He yelled as he shot up like a rocket.
Impulse kept his speed up until he reached the edge of the building then as Skizz turned his gravity on incrementally he slowed down time.
Skizz’s feet landed softly on the building like he was a man with wings.
“IMPULSE!!! DID YOU SEE THAT?!!? THAT WAS INCREDIBLE MAN!” He turned and shouted at his friend.
Impulse’s grin was visible even across the distance between them. “MY TURN!"
Skizz waited for the man to leap off the roof, and with the confidence only two friends who had practiced the same manoeuvre hundreds of times could have, Skizz made him weigh nothing until he was high in the air.
Impulse slowed down and he turned on the gravity. His friend touched down and did a dramatic bow as Skizz clapped.
They deserved it. It took months to learn that move.
“Thanks for saving me from splatting on the road.” Impulse said.
“Any time.” He chuckled. He didn’t even need to glance at the street below to know the road was busy. Impulse never made a move until he’d calculated the risks and it touched his heart that he saw the danger and still trusted him to be there.
“Where are we going for lunch?” Impulse sat on the edge of the building and stared out across the city.
Skizz joined his side and swung his feet. “Wherever you want Dippledop.” He squinted his eyes at the hundreds of people walking around like ants beneath them.
“There’s this new steakhouse I was thinking of~” Impulse teased.
“I’ll never say no to that.” Skizz smirked at him.
