Summary
Former art thief turned (mostly) legitimate art collector and curator Yelena Belova is at the top of her game – and it is exhausting. Being surrounded by sycophants who seem to put more stock in the status valuable paintings affords them rather than the art itself is draining the joy from this – and with so much to do, she has little time to seek out less vexing company, even if she had the first idea of how to do that.
Art school dropout Bob Reynolds is just trying to get by, though it sure would be nice if he could carve out time for his own art – and if things could be a little less lonely day-by-day. With the debt he’s in, and the horrendous luck he’s had with dating, it doesn’t look like there’s much hope of that.
Until he has the misfortune to insult the arrangement of a gallery right to the woman who put it together. Now things are suddenly going – surprisingly well? They just can’t seem to stop running into each other, and the… ill-advised dating profile he made is receiving a burst of renewed interest from a mysterious, and highly charming, profile.
OR: Yelena and Bob are lonely motherfuckers who sign up for a sugar baby site without thinking through the consequences. Feelings ensue.
