Summary
“What you don’t understand,” Sha’Rim said as his fingers traced the metal framing of the Planeswalker, “Is that this reality is only one of billions.” He turned to me, his eyes twinkling with curiosity and… sadness. “If I told you that there was one where all those people you had lost along the way were still alive… wouldn’t you do everything in your power to at least see it?”
His words rang loud and clear throughout the cavern. It seemed as though a thousand iterations of his character spoke at once through him, voices in sync. Then another, quiet, in the back of my mind.
“Well, Prophet?” Her voice whispered through the veil. “Do you desire this?”
The answer was simple.
“Yes.”
