Work Text:
Sam's on the porch of his sisters house, arms crossed, watching the road as he waits for the familiar sound of Bucky's motorcycle.
It's not long before he hears it, the familiar low growl.
But as his bike finally comes into view, Sam notices a sidecar.
Bucky's in his usual leather jacket and sunglasses, but after he steps off his bike, he reaches into the sidecar and lifts out the most absurdly adorable little girl Sam has ever seen.
Her curly hair is put up in two messy puffs, dark sunglasses perched on her nose, and shes wearing a tiny leather jacket. With studs,
Her light-up sneakers flash rainbow as she wriggles excitedly in Bucky's arms.
"Sam," Bucky says, walking up the porch like this is just an average Friday. "This is Esie."
Esie grins, sliding her shades back up with both hands. "Hi!"
Sam gapes at her. "You brought a baby biker."
"She's not a biker. Yet." Bucky smirks, setting Esie down.
She immediately runs up to Sam, hugging his legs. "Hi Sam!"
Sam hesitates for just a second before picking her up. "Hi, Esie." He looks back at Bucky, "She's yours?"
Bucky shifts awkwardly, watching them with a soft smile. "Sor of? Technically she's my great-great-granddaughter. Long story."
Sam looks between them, then grins down at Esie. "Well then, why don't we go meet everyone, yeah?"
Esie looks up from where she was trying to grab at a lizard on the support beam, nodding excitedly.
"There's food inside. You like mac n' cheese?"
"Cheese!!" She yells, like its a war cry.
Bucky winces. "We're still working on indoor voices.
"You're doing great man," Sam pats his shoulder as he carries Esie inside
