Summary
When the tears finally ran out, Henry was angry.
He didn’t think he’d ever been so angry.
He didn’t know he could be so angry.
He was drawn taught like a bow string, body flush with potential energy that needed to find somewhere to go. His muscles were stiff, struggling to move towards anything that wasn’t revenge.
He hardly slept, he ate barely to keep his strength up enough that he could lift his sword, and he practiced, swinging his sword late into the night, until his blistered hands were so worn and cracked that blood stained the leather on the hilt of his blade.
It wasn’t enough.

In which Rattay is raided just weeks after Skalitz. Hanush is abducted and Hans is presumed dead. In his efforts to find Hanush by infiltrating Istvan's camp, he finds the young lord of Rattay, alive, and being offered up to him as a reward for his loyalty. Henry will abandon his mission - he'll do whatever he can to get Hans to safety.
