Summary:

Ada has commitment issues, despite being a harbinger of love. Leon has almost none.

Work Text:

Ada's about to be out of a job if she can't manage to land this hit.

She's already set her eyes on the big prize, the one that'll redeem her name in the heavens above- a young man, probably 20 or so, with shaggy dirty blonde hair. Perfect field of view, and she's in the golden spot range-wise. A spontaneous decision, but she doesn't have much time to dwell. She has to get this today.

She's calculated his best match, which is unsurprisingly, a pretty woman who's brown hair is tied back into a low ponytail. They already seem to know each other, sitting in the candy red vinyl booths chatting away.

It should be an easy shot, and if everything goes to plan, he'll fall in love with the first person he sees. It should be the girl- she's right across from him, and he's already looking. They'll be good together, she thinks, with what she's gathered from her short time stalking them.

She readies her bow, takes her aim, and lets the string snap. It lands smack dab in his chest before dissipating, fizzling out a soft, sparkly red.

…she almost celebrates, but then she realizes he's looking at her, with dreamy blue eyes, like she just hung the moon and stars in the sky.

Right, of course the guy somehow sees her first. He must've looked at her right when she fired the arrow.

Ada grimaces. It's reversible, but it'll be hard.

With her luck, she's getting fired either way. And she really needs the money. With her… questionable background, divine jobs don't come easy. The only reason she's a cupid? Wesker's desperate for employees that'll do his shady biz.

She readies herself for receiving a(nother) layoff notice.

Surprisingly, Wesker goes easy on her.

He gives her a week to fix it. Not much, but she's been in situations with limited time before. She's got this.

So, she goes undercover at the guy, Leon's campus. It's easy to track him down.

She slips into his Criminology II lecture. Apparently, he has an eye for justice. A potential cop? It makes sense. He seems like the type who would've been a boy scout.

He notices her immediately, giving her a sweet, lovestruck smile. She almost slips at the look on his face.

Damn, Ada. Focus. Don't lose yourself.

Mortals and their oddly adorable expressions. It doesn't help that this one is actually somewhat handsome, too.

Does she really have this?
