Work Text:
Waxer batted at Boil’s hands ineffectively, trying to given himself a moment of relief from the laughter that was shaking through him. But his partner was unrelenting, gentle hands skating over ticklish spots that Waxer flinched away from anyone touching on a regular day.
“Stop!” Waxer finally managed to get out, panted between giggles. he didn’t really want him to stop, but he was pretty sure he was about to lose control and knee Boil somewhere unsavoury. “Bo, you’re going to kill me.”
“Oh, we can’t have that can we?” Boil was grinning down at him, and a hand dragged against the crease of his hip made him flail, knees clipping the side of the bunk and Boil’s leg.
“Please!” Waxer cried, curling away from Boil’s attack. “I’ll die.”
“Poor baby.” Boil crooned, but after a few more gentle touches, he did finally stop, draping an arm around Waxer’s waist. “Are you all tuckered out?”
For a moment all Waxer could do was lay there and breathe, but finally he nodded. He felt like his limbs had been turned into synthrubber, a good kind of worn out, like running an obstacle course on the Negotiator, not like running for their lives.
“Good.” Boil snuggled down closer to him. “Maybe now you can stop pestering me and actually get some sleep.”
Waxer huffed.
“You’re the one who started it.” He protested. “I wouldn’t have brought up the spiders if you weren’t so intent on reviewing the intel for the next planet earlier.”
“I think you started it by swallowing the spiders.” Boil said, laughter in his voice as he tickled Waxer’s stomach again, his fingers scuttling like legs over the fabric of Waxer’s shirt.
“I didn’t!” Waxer shuddered against the renewed assault, but Boil didn’t keep it up. He huffed a laugh and pressed a kiss to Waxer’s temple.
“You might have, I don’t know. You’ve eaten spiders before.”
“Never live!” Waxer protested. “And you’ve eaten spiders too.”
“Have I?” Waxer glared playfully, and wiggled around so that he could get at Boil’s stomach.
“Yes you have! They’re in there now!” He crowed, and Boil snorted.
“Oh no. Spiders.” Boil was less ticklish than Waxer was, at least on his stomach, but he could still make him giggle and flinch away, until, of course, Waxer fell asleep mid-tickle.
