Summary
Ethan's first conversation with Agent Norman Jayden is in the warehouse where his son nearly drowned. He doesn't expect much will come of it - at least until he finds Norman some time later, face-down and nearly dead from drug withdrawal. Against all odds, Norman becomes an invaluable friend and support to Ethan, even as Ethan's mental state waxes and wanes. Norman doesn't think he's ever met someone quite like Ethan, and Ethan's certain he's never met someone like Norman.
