A really neat exploration of Felix and Crusch realizing that, in addition to Subaru’s bizarre characteristics, there's something horrifying and worrying going on under the surface. As a result of their concerns and suspicions, this AU dives more into Subaru having a more personal connection with them and becoming close friends, which is very endearing and fascinating to compare to canon.
The plot is also not just a rehash of canon too. The things set in motion during Arc 3 make Arc 4 in this AU DRASTICALLY different due to the Crusch Camp's increasing involvement with the weirdest guy in the world and the trouble he gets into.
